Aug. 20, 2008 - I'm Back, After Taking a Leave of Absence...
I welcome myself back! I have completely forgotten, neglected, and had nothing to do with my blog all summer. Sorry to those of you who checked up on it once in a while, it's just been so terribly boring I've had nothing to write about.
First off and foremost, my baby sister and very young brother just flooded the upstairs bathroom and the water came leaking through the ceiling so... Yes. The floor near the computer is wet.
I went to camp for a week. Pretty fun stuff, great speakers, weird games, awesome counselor, and the so very nice but sometimes-on-your-nerves cabin mates. Whew!! My word.
I won a few prizes for my art this year in the fair. A first and second and third in three different things I entered in computer art. ^-^ Yaaaaayy! And another first for, in my opinion, utterly pathetic attempt and painting a picture of Jesus. It was a Christmas present for my dad, but it didn't turn out as well as I had hoped.
We also started soccer practice a few weeks ago. We're gonna have a tournament on the 20th of September. Woot! Sort of. I can't decide whether I love soccer or hate it. I got really beat up the first practice, but my most latest, (which was my second practice, lol) went a lot better. I only got a bloody scrape on my thigh from my brother. Count on them to do that. Mmm-hm.... Nah he really didn't mean to. But still...
Buwhahahahahaha! Zat iz it'z for nowz. I'll try to write a bit more since things are sort of slowing back down now. Post away, comment away, I'll be back later!
~ a wonderfully refreshed and ready to come back to blog Randomer
Heyo peoples! There hasn't been much time to write in here and I don't care if that's a lame excuse or not because believe me or not it IS true!! Summer break.... the beginning of all your chores and whatnots.
ANYWAY...
I went roller skating again Monday. It was fun but my little brother nearly killed me. The twins, shall we call them, both 11 and insane, (like me), were skating for the first time. One of them fell down in front of me, and to avoid him I crossed over to the right, but instead of staying where he was he frantically started crawling to the right. No, I didn't hop over him.... CRASH. You've heard the story or maybe experienced it, yes?
I'm dreadfully bored here and you wouldn't think it possible with ten people in the house. But I am. And to make matters worse, my MP3 player's battery needs recharging so I can't listen to it!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH! I need my music.... Maybe I should go recharge the battery....
I'm sorry but I can't seem to find anything else to write about.... Let me think a while and I'll come up with something...
Jul. 10, 2008 - One of my boring in a not so boring way days.
Well hey! By now, you know I'm a little bit tired of summer. And it's so HOT!! AAAAAAAUUUGHH! *pants* I can't wear my hoodies very well outside anymore. I love my hoodies...
But ANYWAY...
Today me and my two younger twin brothers, we decided we would go to the park and then the library and then McDonald's for ice cream. (Last time, though we've lived here for 4 years we got lost looking for the library...) So we head down to the park and explore the forest trails. We stumbled upon (quite by accident) what seemed to be a homeless persons home. There was a small campfire, a bunch of boards put together to make a sort of bed, a bucket, and a few other things. We stood there with blank expressions for about 2 seconds, then high-tailed it outta there.
So when we get to the library, it's not even open yet. It's 1:38 and it opens at two. So we head over to McDonald's were we run into two of my friends and our Pastor.
THEN back at the library I spent a while browsing books. I couldn't decide which Redwall one to bring home so I had to do it the old fashioned way. A.K.A Eenie meenie miny moe. Or however you spell that weird thing. Please don't correct me...
And then on the way home we run into another few friends of ours who are driving to our house to pick up a cell phone that was lost and my dad picked up for them. So we hitched a ride back with them.
And the last really weird thing is there was these three teenage boys riding around on bikes and we passed them like six times on our little trip. It was so weird.
Haha! Are you asleep yet? Oh, ok. I'll be more quiet.... sorry!
Hey!! Well, as usual I haven't been keeping up steadily with my blog. You can expect this to get worse over the summer too, if you want.
But anyway, first and foremost, SUMMER BREAK IS HERE!! And it is very boring. And the worst of it is I woke up with a bad headache, extremely light sensitive eyes, plugged nose and sore throat the first day that it started. Wouldn't you know it? And now I can barely go outside unless it's cloudy because I'm blinded. My eyes start throbbing so bad I think they're going to fall out. So now I'm stuck inside when I should be outside working on my soccer skills. *SIGH*..... Blast it all.
And all my brothers have been at VBS from 9:30 to 12:00 every morning so then I'm really bored. But I am reading a rather interesting, if not duplicated plot, book called 'End of the Tunnel', or something like that. Really though, if you've read it then you'll understand what I mean when I say it's a mix between weirdness, Romans, and 'Journey to the Center of the Earth'.
And I just finished the Lord of the Rings appendixes. It has taken me 28 days with divided time for other books.
So yes, mostly I've been sitting at home, either reading upstairs or working on computer on various things. Bleah...
Basically what I did today was get up, well, first I went to Church. I was singing on the worship team today. VERY embarrassing I think I did really bad but everybody said no but I DON'T believe them. You just get that feeling when someone says that just to make you feel good....yes....sort of.
So then after Church mom and I up and took off for a day of shopping. For clothes. Definitely not one of my favorite things. Usually, if I'm going shopping it's for electronics, video games, books or looking at skateboards and bikes and stuff like that. So clothes kind of bore me. SO ANYWAY we were going all day and finally at Target I just about collapsed. And I don't even know what I'm doing at the computer, I should be in bed sleeping. Algebra tomorrow, science, and the whole lot. AAAAUUGH! I wish it was Saturday tomorrow. But then we'd have a bunch of chores to do...no day of the week in our house is safe.
Sorry if none of you understood a sing I thaid I MEAN a thing I said. But I am going to bed now, I do believe. Special thanks to Grelb, Lacy (or Jan,), Mister Cool, and Ladybug for commenting on my blog a lot because that makes me very happy!! I'll give you all awards one of these days if I ever get around to it!
(Tons of great intentions, just a bad time getting to them...)
Well hey! Thank you if you're reading this... it seems my blog has gone back to living up to it's title. Whaaaahaaaaahaaaaaa!
Anyway my head hurts right now because I just got back from soccer practice. And a scrimmage. There wasn't too many people tonight so we had teams of four. Well, two goalies so more like teams of three. ANYWAY, I was hit near my neck really hard by my mean, nasty older brother who kicks it so hard it would take your head off if it was close enough. Then I ran into one of my friends who was on the other team and fell backwards and the back of my head struck the ground. Hard. And it's still throbbing a bit. And on top of all this misfortune I still hurt from skating!!! Oh, I'm going to die. No... Jesus wouldn't let that happen yet. Or at least I hope not...
And yes, I confess I did kick the ball into one of my friend's stomachs. But I can assure you God wasn't punishing me because it happened after my brother already hurt me!! Ah...maybe I won't go anymore. No, I will. I must!!
Heylo. I keep forgetting to write because everything is always so busy!! Grr...you have algebra and science to thank for that. Yell at them, not me!!
Anyway, went skating a couple days ago. It was my second time. There's a really cool indoor skating rink about forty five minutes from where I live. So I did very well except I stared at this one arcade game this one kid was playing, and not paying attention I fell and nearly did a split. Then the second time me and a friend were racing and I was forced to the outside where I crashed into a wall. And it still hurts. And then I think I pulled something because both my legs hurt whenever I walk. But other than that it was fun!!
Aaahhh...I wish more happened around here. That's all I can think of at the moment. Byes!
There's not much going on here, as usual. I'm bored...only a few precious hours before the next schoolday begins!!! What to do? What to do?
Hrrm.....we just had a thunder-and-lightning-BOOMING-downpour. Now everything inside his muggy and everything outside is clammy. Yucky weather. I wish it was fall. Yes...then my birthday would be soon too...speaking of, I wonder what I'm going to put on my birthday list. Now there would be something to do, write up my birthday list when my birthday is in November! YES! Not.
Everything on Sunday is nice until you get out of church. Then you just hang out and wonder what you are going to do for the rest of the day. And while your wondering, the hours waste away, and then it's dinnertime, and then it's bedtime, and then it's sleeptime, and then it's SCHOOLtime. And then begins the work on Algebra, Science, History, English, Reading and all these other crazy things...
And now after reading this you find you are suddenly bored. It's spreading!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!
Well, bet you were wondering where I was? No where. I was a bit busy... (my usual excuse )
So, Wednesday I went to see Prince Caspian. I LOVED it!! So much more action than the first. So, here are the things I liked and didn't:
LIKES
1# More suspense and action.
2# Edmund was a LOT more of a likeable character.
3# Reepicheep.
4# Though way off from the book, the storyline was well developed.
5# Except for the first part, easier to follow.
DISLIKES
1# Peter. Until the end he was...AUGH! Needless to say his attitude towards Lucy and Caspian got on my nerves more than anything.
2# It didn't exactly do what you call 'stay true to the book'.
3# Prince Caspian and Susan?? BBBBBBBLLLLLLLEEEEAAHH! That was disgusting!!
4# The weird old hag.
Speaking of the old hag...I'm sorry if this comes across strange but did anyone else find it hysterically funny when she was chanting?? I couldn't stop laughing at that, even though that part was supposed to be kind of scary.
I must finish this picture!! Graphic illustrating takes forever....
Well hey! Sorry I didn't tell y'all were I was going. I went up to the LEAH Homeschool Convention up in Rochester. So I guess I'll tell you some of the things I did up there. (Pictures coming soon!)
First off let me tell you the drive took FOREVER and it was really warm out and it was gross. So yeah. But my friend came along with us so it made it a bit more fun.
Anyway we got sort of lost in Rochester trying to find the hotel parking garage. I was trying to tell my mom where to go but I got distracted. It went sort of like this:
Mom: "Ok, now you read the directions from this map and tell me where to go."
Me: "Yeah sure!"
Mom: "What first?"
So I'm giving directions, then right in the middle I see this huge building. No, I don't get to go to big cities all the time so it was pretty cool to me. And the way the sun was hitting it the whole thing was a gold color;
Mom: "Now what?"
Me: "OOOoooOO! A big shiny gold building!"
Mom: "What?"
Me: "Look at that one!"
At this point my friend grabs the paper from my loose grasp and takes over. I just stare at all the buildings, peoples and cars. Later, as the traffic got worse, I'm just hoping we won't go down a one way street the wrong way and die terrible deaths. But my mom got through ok and we finally made it to the hotel garage.
We were sharing a room with two of my mom's friends, but they weren't at the hotel when we got there. We had a slight problem at the counter finding the room but that's boring. The hotel room was pretty nice. Big TV but it had some sort of problem so everything on the screen was either green or red. We watched Pirates of the Caribbean on it and I was guessing Jack and just about everyone else got real seasick until we found out the problem.
The convention itself was really awesome. A lot of great speakers were there. My favorite was one about finding your dream and making it come true. Most of you who are reading this probably know I'm going to try my hardest to become a graphic illustrator, so I had fun in that seminar.
The vendors were mostly books and stuff like that but there was one with all these art books and supplies. You would be stocked for life if you had all that stuff in your house!! Unfortunately most of the things I wanted there were a bit....much for my wallet, shall we say. Usually I'm not much into necklaces and stuff but I saw a cool one. It has a really tiny key and a lock and cross all attached to this ring which is attached to a silver chain. I took a liking to it and bought it on the spot. My friend and I both bought some pins and buttons to put on our handbags. (or in my case, backpack and camera case)
Speaking of cameras, another thing (which I guess kind of got on my friend's nerves a little bit) I did was take pictures of just about everything. And when I say everything I mean pretty much everything. I'll show you some of them later. We were both sitting in the hall, bored because the teen workshop had already started and there weren't many people around. I brought out my camera and started taking pictures of every person that walked by. I guess they must have thought it was weird but it was pretty fun. There was these two random (hah!) guys who come up to me and they say,
"Hey, can you take a picture of us?"
I don't even know them but I guess a picture couldn't hurt. So I agreed. I snapped a shot and showed it to them and then they say,
"That's funny! Thanks! You can delete it now." Then they left and I didn't see them again. Oh well, hope they liked their picture.
Yes...there was another pretty weird thing that happened. My mom and her two friends and me and my friend were all walking back to the hotel after dinner. I see one of those little bus stop things and I thought it looked (yes, I am weird) cool. So I'm saying, "Hey I want to go into that thing!"
And I was about to when I look in and on the benches are two, I think, homeless guys lying on them. At the exact same time they look up at me with a strange expression and I back out saying, "Or...um....maybe not."
Yeah, yeah. Everyone else was laughing but I don't think it was that hilarious.
I'll tell you the rest tomorrow. And hopefully I'll get some pictures up.

Hey! Many of my faithful readers saw my picture before with the guy holding the spear and everything but it wasn't colored in. (if you didn't just scroll way down) Now here is the finished picture! It isn't very good but I am very happy with it because it is my first picture that is all the way COMPLETED!!
Well I just got back (I'm always getting back from something) from a multiple-church-youth-group-lock-in at my Church. Nah, I didn't stay for the sleep over. I left at nine or so. It was pretty fun, and I admit I did have more fun than I expected. I played pool, my friend and I won, (yay!) I did a bit of ping pong, played the Wii against the other guys and one twice in a row, (woot woot!), and ate a ton of potato chips. Yup.
That pretty much sums up my day. My dad had to leave this morning so we had home church. We were doing very well in study until my baby brother, who had been taking a bath, came running out. My baby sister, came running out saying,
"Take ee towl! Towl afta baff!"
So after that everybody was laughing watching them run about, so we prayed and were dismissed.
Then I went on computer a bit but I got bored so then I went upstairs and started reading Lord of The Rings: Return of the King for the upteenth time. Bye bye!
Ok, you wanna see something creepy? Do this thing below. It really does work!!!
YOUR AGE BY EATING OUT
Don't tell me your age; you probably would tell a falsehood anyway-but
your waiter may know!
YOUR AGE BY DINER & RESTAURANT MATH
This is pretty neat.
DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST
It takes less than a minute. Work this out as you read ...
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
This is not one of those&n bsp;waste of time things, it's fun.
1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to
go out to eat. (more than once but less than 10)
2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)
3. Add 5
4. Multiply it by 50
5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1757...
If you haven't, add 1756.
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.
You should have a three digit number.
The first digit of this was your original number. (I.e., How man y times
you want to go out to restaurants in a week.)
The next two numbers are YOUR AGE ! ------ (Oh YES, it is!!!)
Isn't that THE scariest thing ever? OooOOooo....never underestimate what waiters (or waitresses) know!!
I am random.
I love graphic illustrating, drawing anime and manga, playing video games and I am a total bookworm. (See that anime girl on the avatar? I made her ^-^) I'm a Christian homeschooler, and yes, that is all. I plan world domination! Hee hee...not really-leave a comment pretty please?
