If i knew my faith was going to be slammed just for writing on a blog i don't think I'd have joined up. This post is mostly directed at my old friends. Why are you being so mean? Why are you slamming what i believe in and calling me a pagan idol worshiper!?! If you would like to talk to me about my faith (which i encourage you to do) you know how to contact me. Otherwise... please don't leave such hurtful comments on my blog. I don't think you'd like it very much if i commented on your blogs and told you everything you believed in was a false lie and that you were being hoodwinked by the devil. Please show some respect.
Sorry our friendships are smashed,
Elizabeth |

| I've signed up for National Novel Writing Month (or NaNoWriMo). Which means I've committed myself to attempt to write 50,000 words during the month of November!! Fortunately, the goal here is quantity NOT quality! :) So I am going to do my best to churn out unedited uncritiqued unpremediated prose! :D |

• Sep. 24, 2008 - Rolling stones...

Rolling stones... going by so fast they forget to take a breath of air and see the stars.
There are so many requirements in life... Sweep the floors, clean the dishes, make the beds, fold the washing, do your homework, feed the dogs, cook the dinner, set up a party, call your friends, make a gift, dust the bookshelfs... there never seems to be time for God. We fill our day with things... important things, time wasting things, things that make us feel good. Where is God? Waiting. He waits by our side, he sits patiently, stopping a car from running us over, stopping the leak in the roof getting worse, stopping the gas leak... waiting for us. He hopes that we will spare a minute, send up a prayer to him. To let him know we haven't forgotten him. We fit God into our lives... we set aside 15 minutes in the morning to pray the rosary. We wish we had more time for God, we wish we could enjoy praying or reading a bit of scripture but we never seem to have 'time'. Can we pray while vaccuming? yes. Can we pray while cleaning the fridge? yes. Can we stop our tongues talking so much if we pray in the quiet minute? yes. I know during those moments there are a billion or more things running through our heads that we never think to praise God for the family were scrubbing the floor for.
I never used to be able to concentrate while praying the rosary, my mind used to wander and fingers would miss a hail mary... lately i have been trying. There were a few issues in the family so i was sending a rosary up to Our Lady ever day. It is becoming easier now. I can focus more and it doesn't seem like a chore. I can see the things that have been happening as a result. Good things. I love praying to Our Lady now, she gives so much comfort to those of us who need a shoulder to cry on. From watching other people in my family, when they started praying the rosary every day it became a helping hand, then it became something that they really liked to do, then it became an addiction to pray it every day. Something that would put the whole day out if they didn't pray the rosary. What a wonderful addiction! I can't wait till that is me! Till i can't get up in the morning until i've prayed my rosary! "The days slip by too fast!" we cry. "We need more time!"
How about we MAKE time, instead of just grabbing a minute when we've nothing else to do and then finding out that the electrician needs to be called. Our Lady has blessed me so much since i started praying her rosary every day. Imagine what she could do for you...
God bless,

Dear Readers,
Here is something to brighten your weekend.
A little girl asked her mother:
'How did the human race appear?'
The mother answered, 'God made Adam and Eve;
they had children; and so was all mankind made.'
Two days later the girl asked her father the same question.
The father answered,
'Many years ago there were monkeys from
which the human race evolved.'
The confused girl returned to her mother and said,
‘Mum, how is it possible that you told me the
human race was created by God,
and dad said they came from monkeys?'
The mother answered,
'Well, dear, it is very simple.
I told you about my side of the family,
and your father told you about his.'
Hope you got a good laugh.
God bless,
CoffeeGirl |

• Aug. 28, 2008 - Spring
Posted By CoffeeGirl
Winter hangs on the rails like curtains. The hope of spring still frosted on the glass. As winter comes to an end the curtains are gently tugged, but the ropes can't come close enough to wrap them all the way back.
This is what Esperance is like. Winter is coming to an end, so God gives us a sunny day. We all rejoice and run around under the sun. Then we have a week of rain and clouds and cold wind. WHY?
God bless,
CoffeeGirl

This past week has been very busy. I feel like i could fall asleep on my feet.
Monday to friday, 10 to 3, i have been doing work experience at the local bridal store. It has been very busy and i was glad on friday night, when i crashed on my bed and slept... *snooze*
Then on saturday and sunday i had a sleepover and made lots of rosaries. Today is monday and i'm back to school. As were just heading out of winter, some sunny warm days are approaching. Not being very athletic, it's been tiring walking every day since i think friday... mabye saturday...
The sun has brought happiness back into our winter home and the doors have lately been open to let the warm breeze waft in and wrap itself around us. The change has been most enjoyable and i hope it stays. Maybe i'll be able to get some big sleeps in this week.
Has anyone been watching the olympics? My favourite sport is the swimming, but quite enjoy the equestrian events and the gymnastics and the soccer and the diving and the... i'll leave the list out.
Our womans relay team won again this year in in the swimming! yeah!
GO AUSTRALIA!!!
Just got out the sewing machine. It's so dusty from a few months of not being used. *achoo*
I'm putting together an egyptian print wall quilt. 5 1/2'' squares sewn together to make nine patch blocks, then cut in 4 pieces, and sewn together randomly. It turns out quite nice. I'll post a picture of it when i'm done.
Speaking of pictures, here are some.

These are my nephews 7 years and 6 months.

My sister and i after waking up in the morning.

This was the beginning of the great melon fight of 08.
It lasted a long time and by the end, CoffeeGirl and Sparky were tired and covered in dirt.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures.
God bless,
