Spirit of Christmas Award(S).......
I have just been so blessed since joining the world of the bloggers! I have THE BEST friends~ that's all there is to it. I'm not sure that I deserve it; but I have received not one, but two, of these Spirit of Christmas awards! Merry Christmas to ME!
This first one is from a new friend here at HSB~ Da Red Head~ she's a fellow adoptive mom. I believe I met her through Blogger Friend School (if you don't participate, let me just tell you that it's a great way to meet fellow bloggers). Thanks for this award!

Kris has awarded me this second one. I just love Kris! She has been a tremendous help to me in the area of blog template design! Despite my continuing questions, she has always answered quickly and with such kindness. She recently started a new meme on her blog called More Than Rubies Monday, which I am participating in, and looking forward to great things as a result! Kris and I have alot in common~ we both love doing reviews for TOS, we both have precious sons named Ian (and I do mean precious!), we both love saving money on our groceries, and we're both hosting contests for the 12 Blogs of Christmas with Homeschool E-store! (Now, if only I could learn to bake that very yummy bread that she bakes!) Kris, sending you some snow in Tennessee........
Wow, I am honored to receive both of these awards! The second one has this information attached to the award: This award is for those who talk about and show the spirit of Christmas in their blogs.
What is the Spirit of Christmas you ask?
Quite simply it is those that have a generous and giving nature. Those who care about others. Those who have a kind word to say or a broad shoulder to lean on in the times that others need that. Those who display the "Spirit of Christmas".
I'm going to be a bit different with how I give this one away. If you are going to be participating in my 12 Blogs of Christmas contest for Homeschool E-store (see sticky post at the top of my blog for details)~ then consider yourself awarded! Because, let's face it, if you've decked your school halls for the holidays, then you've got the Christmas Spirit! Enjoy!

The original title of this post didn't include the ...........
However, I just realized that I've been awarded AGAIN! This time by another precious friend of mine, Linda. She is a very dear friend that I'm hoping to have the opportunity to meet one of these days. I just might tag along with my husband and my father on one of their racing trips out west so that I can spend some time with Linda and her family. I hope that, like Linda, the people who read my blog do find "purpose" in my posts. Thanks, Linda, for this special award.

Here are the "rules" that accompany this award:
1. Awarded parties must nominate five people who have not received the award.
2. The blogs that receive the award must serve some purpose.
3. In their post about the award they need to link back to this entry.
4. Awarded parties must post the award banner on their site. The banner must remain linked to Eric Novak's site.
I'd like to give this one to:
Felicity & Zach ~ Felicity is my cousin and one that I lovingly refer to as "my firstborn". She's all grown up now, though, and she and her husband have established this blog to showcase the renovations on their home. If you want to see some truly amazing transformations, then you've got to check this out. They're definitely blogging with a purpose (and working with a purpose too!)
Amy ~ I just love Amy! What more can I say really?! She's one of my bestest friends in the whole world. Her blog is definitely full of purpose~ she's passing on an amazing heritage to her sons and her readers. I love seeing all the new things she has to share.
Loraena~ She's got an awesome purpose for blogging these past few weeks~ she recently became a mother for the very first time when she and her hubby were presented their new baby Eliana in the hospital~ praise God for adoption!
And to my girls~ Ashley & Gracie~ who blog for the purpose of fulfilling mom's homeschooling assignments!

Yes! I love awards! And thanks for commenting on my (our) blog. I'm glad you mentioned that you had to sign up to comment - I went ahead and changed my settings so that not everyone will have to do that. So, thanks! And you guys will have to come down and visit sometime. We're about an hour from Williamsburg, and I know your family likes it out there. We get yearly passes for that and Busch Gardens, so we're always up for a visit!
I'm not sure that we're going to make it up for the party at the community center, but let us know when you guys are going to be around. We'll be up between the 20th and the 1st, so squeeze us into your schedule!
