Spring Reading Thing Wrap-Up
I vaguely remember counting the days until spring would arrive. Now, here we are, already, with summer starting tomorrow! Wow~ where did the time go?
It's time to wrap-up the Spring Reading Thing. So, here goes:
- Of the 20 fiction books on my original list, I read 13. Some of them I just couldn't get into, for various reasons. BUT, I did read several other fiction books that weren't on the original list, so I'm sure I met my goal of 20 books there.
- Of the 4 non-fiction books on my original list, I confess, I only read 1 1/2. Ugh! I just am not as interested in non-fiction, I guess; either that, or I have to be in "the mood". I am using Do Hard Things by Alex and Brett Harris with my Sunday School class right now and we are all really enjoying it.
- I like the challenge because I love making lists and trying to accomplish my goals. I'd like to say THANKS to Katrina for consistently putting these reading challenges together for us.
- My favorite book from my Spring Reading Thing list was definitely Washington's Lady by Nancy Moser. I want to say that if I hadn't received this as a book to review, I might never have picked it up at a book store. But, I'm so glad I got the opportunity to read this one~ I just loved it! (Click on the link in my sidebar for the full review).
- I will definitely be looking forward to the Fall Reading challenge.

Thats so funny, I have a hard time getting down the fiction. I do love the fiction classics to read to the kids but for me its really hard to get into it as much, however I have been challenging myself lately and trying to read more non-fiction. I think you did great if you read 13 books, thats awesome!

I have heard good things about "Do hard things". I also love making lists and setting goals! :)

Good job, Heidi! Non-fiction is always so much harder for me, too. I really have to make myself read it -- I'd always much rather pick up a fiction book. :)
