TOS Digital Subscription
I think I joined the staff at TOS right AFTER they had gone digital with the magazine. So, though I knew about the digital subscriptions, I had missed all the planning and wasn't really familiar with the whole deal. Yesterday, though, that all changed.
I finally got set up for my own digital subscription! Let me tell you that, in all honesty, I didn't really understand why anyone would want a digital subscription. Maybe that's because part of my job requires me to look at a good many e-books each day. So, when I have time to read "for me", I want something "real" to look at and hold in my hands. But, boy, was I wrong!
I LOVE the digital magazine! So many times, I've gone through the print magazine, seen ads, and thought "oh, I need to remember to go check out that site". With the digital subscription, every single web address (in articles and advertisements) is hyperlinked. So, you can click on them and be taken directly to the website (in a new window, so you don't lose your place in the magazine). I might be simple, but that just thrills me - you have no idea!
Another very cool thing about the digital subscription is that if you come across an article and think "oh, so-and-so would really benefit from this", you can simply click on the word "share" and e-mail that article to your friend! Is that cool, or what?! Just to show you what I mean, I e-mailed myself about MY article in the Summer issue. Here is what the e-mail looks like (feel free to click through and read my article):

So, what do you think? Do you want a digital subscription JUST FOR YOU?! If so, just click here and order it. It's only $16.95 for a full year - that's 4 issues that are HUGE and jam-packed full of quality information for homeschoolers.

I'm so glad that you love it. I was totally surprised by how much I love it too.
And I loved getting to see/know your family better in this issue. Is that enough LOVE for one comment?! a;djfajdsfajdf;aljd

Hey, I stopped by and I love your new header, although I miss the cute pics of you and the kids.
I put in a plug for the Splash blog today...great idea keeping it active and using it to post kids' reviews.
Oh, did you know your links here do not allow anyone to view your digital pages? They are "expired" or something. And yes, that was the first thing I liked about the digital version of TOS (I extended my subscription during the fourth of July special). I also was sent sample issues since we'd be promoting it at the WHO convention and I needed to know how it worked. I LOVE the clickable websites to the advertisers, too. Great minds think alike, I guess.
I'm going to the W.A.T.C.H. homeschool conference and I'm going to stop by the TOS booth and see how the "professionals" (i.e. Gena) do it. LOL I'm signing books with the Salt Shaker bookstore, a local bookstore that has a booth for the conference.
Speaking of which, did you ever get SFS?
And I"m sure wondering why I haven't gotten my Summer issue of TOS yet.....
