Ian Does Dishes!
Yesterday, my mom dropped by and brought lunch for all of us. Now, you know that I must have been having a bad day because, when she offered to stay after lunch and do the dishes for me, I allowed it. (Why is this so odd? you ask. Well, I have NEVER allowed my mom or anyone else, with the exception of maybe one friend, to EVER do my dishes. I'm a bit strange about my dishes, I guess.) Anyway, I was having some computer stress, which led to work stress; and we've been dealing with some personal issues that have been disturbing as well. All that to preface the fact that my mom did the dishes and Ian helped to dry:
He may just be in trouble now that I know he can do this!

... on Ian's face in the last photo. He is so pleased that he helped and did a good job!
Chores has been my least favorite part of having young ones in the house. It takes 4x longer to do anything. The kids fight over who gets to help. Everything in me wants to set them up with toys in their room or put on a movie. Then I think... Hmm, they will one day be old enough that their help is a blessing. Will they want to stop playing or watching TV if I have taught them that is what they are supposed to do while mommy works? Probably not.
So, my home is less "arranged" and everything takes 4x longer. :o(

What a sweet helper! Give a child a bucket of water and let them wash away. Great fun. :)
Thanks for your comments on my blog. No travel news. The gov't still has the adoption suspension in place until new laws are put into place. We have no idea how long this will take. We greatly appreciate your prayers that God would overturn the tables and do a reversal as He did in the book of Esther.
