Kitchen Kettle Village
A trip to Lancaster would not be complete without a trip to Kitchen Kettle Village. So, Friday afternoon, we did just that. Gracie's favorite part of visiting KKV, is decorating a gingerbread cookie. It was so hot, so we also enjoyed some yummy homemade ice cream in waffle cones; and, of course, taste-testing the yummy preserves in the cannery.
I brought home my only (and favorite) souvenir - a wrought iron/rusty star lawn stake - that has a new home in my flower bed out front. (I'll have to take a picture of it to share!)

It's so ironic you post about this place as I was planning to take Keisha to Lancaster for a day and this was one of the places I put on the list. I've never been there, but it looked neat. We're also planning to hit the Herr's Factory, and there were two soft pretzel factories that I found. One of them also does Amish buggy rides which looked like something she'd enjoy. Anyway, the trip got put on hold because I got a call from the school I've been interviewing with to come back in to discuss an offer the same day as our trip was supposed to be (tomorrow)!
