Some of my favorite things . . .
We've had a relaxing weekend here at home.
Here are some of the things that have been particular favorites:
And here are a few things I'm craving:

(I may have to go and do something about at least one of these!)
Anything in particular that you've enjoyed this weekend?

a Wordless Wednesday post
I haven't done Wordless Wednesday in awhile~
I guess because I'm not so good at the "wordless" part!
Gracie has been blessed with a new pen-pal~she was so excited to receive her first letter the other day. Her pen-pal had sent a nice note, Valentine, stickers, and a pack of hairclips. Gracie loves getting mail, so this will be a fun adventure for her. Her new little friend is also adopted from Vietnam!
Ian is really growing. He just cracks us up with his antics. Never a dull moment with Ian around that's for sure. Doesn't he have the cutest little smile?
And, I have to share this one. This is Ian, after church one Sunday afternoon, a few weeks ago. You can't tell it by the picture, but his feet are just dangling there~ they are NOT on the floor. I guess church services really wiped this little guy out that day! LOL

Wordless Wednesday~ the photo session
Yesterday we went to "try" to get some pictures taken~
the girls were, of course, cooperative.

Ian, on the other hand, was a different story.

I wanted his picture taken in this jacket for his bi-annual report for Vietnam.
He would NOT be consoled.

We were able to get one picture of the 3 of them together:
And we got one for Brian for Valentine's Day~
Shhhhh! Don't tell.......

Family Gatherings
My family had our traditional Christmas Eve get-together on an untraditional date (due to my SIL having to work on Christmas Eve this year). We all got together at my parents' house on Saturday night and had alot of fun exchanging our gifts and acting silly (we seem to be pretty good at that). I've compiled a slide show of the evening's happenings. See if you can find the underlying theme of my parents gifts to their grandchildren this year..........
Note: Yes, I'm always BEHIND the camera~ no pictures of me in this slide show. The handsome men you see are my dad, Brian, and my two brothers. You'll notice that my youngest brother, despite the fact that he's "all grown up and married now" still tends to be a bit of a kid at heart. I guess we all are! Oh, and we've got some pretty good-looking young men-in-training too~ our Ian and my brother's 3 little guys~ aren't they adorable?!

Guess where we were today?
It's become a bit of an after-dentist tradition!
No cavities! So, we celebrate.......

Isn't Chuck E. a good artist?!
I'm so impressed with these things that I ask insist that the kids get it done each time we go!
Ian, though, wouldn't cooperate for his~
so we got this instead:

He's not sure what to make of his passenger!

this is one of those times.....
......when you wish you could freeze your kids~
keep them this size (and age) forever....

I know I'm slightly prejudice,
but is that not the cutest thing?!

I'm not much for trick-or-treat.....
....but we did take Gracie and Ian out this year (to some relatives and friends). The point was that Ashley would go along as one of those people who has the little angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other~ telling her which thing she should do. I thought I'd share some pics of the little angel and the little devil~ they're both pretty cute~ making it really difficult to decide which one to follow, huh?!
