Bible Study

I have a quick question for all of you homeschoolers (those who wander in here anyway ).  I am interested in doing a daily bible study with my children this coming school year.  What do you suggest?  Do you make your own?  Do you have a guide to suggest?  Your help is greatly appreciated!!!

All for His glory,

~Rhen

I tried to use some really good ones. However, I was never at peace with any of them. I just use the proverbs to teach character development. You can teach a proverb a day. Have them draw a picture and write the proverb. When they memorize them, then have a reward at the end of the week. I have a page of the ones we started with when they were little. It works great for dealing with conflicts between the children and friends because you immediately deal with the heart issues with the Proverbs. If you email me, I can send a pdf file with the one we use. Anyway, there are a lot of great books out there. I know you will find what fits for your time with your children. Have a great night.

Welcome to HSB. We have tried a few different formal Bible courses but haven't found one that we can fully endorse. Most of my kids' other subjects are biblically based, so they learn that God is in everything. I use Scripture passages for handwriting practice and they draw a scene of that passage as it pertains to today's living. We also have devotions and we listen to the Bible on tape. I don't think that is absolutely necessary to have a formal Bible course. I found this site to be very thorough if you are looking for something in depth with lots of activities. http://children.calvarychapel.com/site/curriculum.htm
Thanks again for visiting. Blessings
