Day 1

Well, today is the first day of our "summer break".  We only take a few weeks off but I plan on making the most of them.   I have plenty of curriculum to go through.  I need to get next year's organized and ready.  I also need to get this year's completed items packed up and put out in the shed.

With my "off" weeks I also plan on painting the kitchen, having a yard sale, working in the gardens and going through all the floor junk I have around here.  I need to sit down and make a list of everything I want to get done and prioritize it.   Maybe I will put it on the fridge next to Mr. Muslces' honey-could-you-please-list.  LOL   When he sees what I have to do he won't feel so bad about what is on his list.

The surprise trip to the park for a picnic and cake with their friends was a huge hit with the kids.  They had a blast and played until their legs just wouldn't work anymore.  LOL  I love those days.

All for His glory, ~Rhen

Jun. 21, 2007 - you're "vacation" sounds like mine....

Do moms ever have a day off? Or time off? Of course not, then we wouldn't be moms!! Time for that later when we spoil our grandkids and send them home, he he he!

Good idea about the honey to do list. I put my hubby's on the fridge-it had four things on it. He completed three of them during his leave and had two weeks to himself while the kids and I were in the states and failed to get the other done. Now, with him gone for a while, it will be late fall before it gets done. I was a little frustrated, but then I remembered that his priorities are not mine. He is a great hubby! And I am most certainly blessed.
