All in, all done (as they say at the 4-H auction)

We survived the fair, the weather wasn't bad, and the boys came home with a bunch of ribbons and even a few trophies.
Livestock news:   The goats won big, (as did the boys in showmanship) the sheep came in everywhere from 2nd to very last, and the dog looked great and scored so-so, but had her picture and an article about "Eowyn the Pyrenees Princess" in the local paper.    The calf and the one sheep that didn't go to fair  bonded during their time home alone, and all the critters were very happy to get home Monday afternoon.     Also,  the older boys bought 3 Jersey Wooly rabbits that they plan to breed and show.   They got them from some rabbit breeders from up north that had come down for the open rabbit show on Sunday.    Now to clean out the detached garage and make it into the rabbitry.     We also need to get our 3 sheep that are ready for breeding over to visit a ram, and arrange for a buck to come visit our female goats.

Crafting news:  Not much of that going on, with the fair excitement, but I have taken a break from the shawl to start a quick little bag that will be felted.      I'm excited to find out that my wristlet from the swap has already been sent out!!

Reading:   Got a book read during ds #3's swim lesson and ds #1's riding lesson:  "Organizing Your Craft Space," which was mostly pictures, therefore a quick read.   How I would LOVE a crafting space to call my own, but I haven't been able to get dh on board with that idea.   My supplies are organized, but I'd love to have them in one  location.

Homeschool:  It's time to order curriculum!!  Usually by this time I've already got most of my stuff bought!   I'd like to get it here and get organized soon.   I'm also feeling the need to get things organized around the house in preparation for the coming school year.    It's almost like that pregnancy-nesting instinct.    I guess I just know that I am calmer, happier, and function better when there's order.   I  need to get everything plugged into my Edu-Track computer program, now that I'll be keeping track of high school credits.    What will I be ordering?   A package from Sonlight, their level 100, which is American History in-depth.   It should be challenging enough for my 9th grader, and yet do-able for the 7th grader.   That's one thing many people don't realize about homeschooling, that many curriculums are designed to span an age range, so you don't have to do completely different things with each child.  (although obviously, you expect a different level of work from different ages)   Sonlight will cover history, literature, bible, and writing assignments.   The 9th grader will also have math (Math U See), Apologia biology, Winston Grammar, Latin & Greek Roots Vocabulary, Fallacy Detective (logic) and Foreign Language.  We  want the 9th and the 7th grader to learn how to design a website for their animal projects, and I plan to sign the 9th grader up for the online meat goat course offered by the Univ of PA.   The 7th grader with have (in addition to sonlight) math, Apolgia general science, Winston Grammar, vocab, spelling, and penmanship.   The 2nd grader will be working on language arts (finishing the phonics book and continuing "First Language Lessons" along with handwriting and  math.   He'll read American history books for his grade level, and science books from the library.      It should be a busy year for us all!

Hi.

Hi. I was just wondering about the logic curriculum for your 9th grader. Do you have a link for more information about it? I am looking for a logic program. Also, what foreign language are you doing? What curriculum are you using for it?
I know, I'm full of questions. I was just wondering.
