Mail goodies
Many thanks to Raesha of My Love, who generously sent out some vintage sewing goodies she found while thrifting, plus some little Halloween treats.

I really like this little pumpkin she made and I thought it was just the right fall touch for this basket sitting on my mantle:
Sorry for the lousy picks, it's rainy and gloomy here today so that's as good as it'll get. Speaking of rainy, my husband worked all night long, till 6 am, to get the field he was in done before the rain came. Which leads me to yet Another Reason We Homeschool: He came in at 6am and fell into bed, then got up around noon and wondered if we'd let him buy us lunch somewhere and if we'd ride along with him to the parts store so he could catch up with us all. (since the boys really haven't seen him since Sunday) Did we drop what we were doing and go with him? We sure did!! I love the flexibility!!

Flexibility

I completely agree. I used to teach in the classroom and have had to get over being so concerned about schedules. Now, we go where we want and when we want. We have been able to travel with my husband when he has business out of town. The kids have learned so much for all of these trips.
Thanks for visiting my blog too. I really like the Handwriting Without Tears. My son is a left handed and really hates pushing a pencil. For a long time I let him skip learning cursive, but now I think he can do it. Morgan's tests were fine. She's a good girl and wants to do her best. But she worries too much.
Very cute Halloween stuff.

I love vintage sewing supplies! It makes you realize how well they were made once upon a time. The zippers are SO much better.
