A new friend
Meet our new puppy Max - he's a 12 week old miniature dachshund and we just brought him home yesterday. (yes, I know, we already have quite the menagerie) I blame the kitten for this one - the kitten that was prominently featured in this blog for a couple months. We rescued the kitten (abandoned by his mom) and took care of him until we could find a good home for him, as my husband is allergic and we knew we couldn't keep him. So, a week or so after Christmas, the kitten went to his new home. But we all missed him, end result being this puppy. Actually, we had a doxie years ago, when we were first married, and I've always wanted another one. I guess the time was right. Hopefully he will become good friends with our springer spaniel! Right now, he just wants to snuggle on someone's lap - and there are many willing laps around here!

Max is so cute! Congratulations. My sister in Oregon breeds mini doxies and I'm sure if we lived closer to her we would have had one by now. Enjoy :)
