First Lamb!!

Here we have the first lamb of 2007, and his mom "Cornflower."    The oldest boy and I stayed home from church this morning just in case there was some action in the barn - and it was a good thing, too.    This was Cornflower's first lamb and we had to help pull him a bit.   He's a good sized one!   Look at those ears!   (he's about 30 minutes old in this picture)

And I can't resist including this picture of Nellie and her twins- this was not posed, I guess they thought mom's bowl looked like a good place for a nap.    Absolutely no crafting done today - my sleep schedule is really messed up from getting up at night to check pregnant animals and I don't sew well in that condition!

I especially love the picture of Nellie and her twins in the bowl, but all of them are great. You have such an interesting blog!

I love the baby pics. I am studying to be a midwife. Recently a friend asked me questions about delivering goats. I had no experience with animal births, so couldn't help. I volunteered to come help out though. Now I am interested in midwifing? animals too.
