Something not livestock-related
Not a whole lot of craftiness going on here lately, but I have continued with my ballband dishcloth obsession - pictured here with one of my favorite things - my husband's grandmother's vintage Fiestaware bowl. This bowl is in perfect condition - it's like new. I am afraid to use it (and risk breaking it) so it's for display only but it's one of those things that just make me smile when I look at it. (I've decided you can't beat these ballbands - I finally kept one for myself and I love how thick and squishy they are. ) Anybody have a good resource for dating Fiestaware? I'd love to know the color name and age.
I've also knitted a couple more inches on my sock but that's not very exciting to look at.
I've been looking for sushi fabric, seen some I wasn't crazy about, and finally found this on ebay. It'll probably become placemats for my sister's birthday gift - I think it'll look great with her black & white sushi plates. I'll probably use the placemat pattern in the "In Stitches" book, it's one of the few patterns in there that doesn't intimidate me!
I should be doing something to get ready for this weekend's guests but here I am doodling around on the internet. Tsk, tsk!

Very pretty colors! I've given away all that I've made too, so I need to get on the stick and make one that actually stays in the house. I'm working on socks right now too (of course, I'm always working on socks). I took one to the homeschool convention this week, and was able to get maybe another 2-3 inches done. That's like a record in my house. For some reason, my socks take FOREVER to get done. That's possibly because I only knit them when I'm waiting in line somewhere. I can't bear to work on them at home, when there's spinning to do, or my sweater to work on... Anyway, as I was saying, you have some lovely clothes!
