Adorn

Got a little treat in the mail from Raesha today - she had an extra copy of this magazine and offered it up on her blog and I was able to snag it.   I've never seen it before but I really like it.   It's got some cute projects in it, including embroidery by Jenny Hart of Sublime Stitching and these pillows- love em!    It also had an article on Japanese crafting/craft books, so it was sure to win me over.
Tomorrow may be a really big day - it may be the day we finally get high speed internet!  Woo hoooooo!!   You can't believe how long it takes me just to upload one picture to flickr.com right now.   I hit the "upload" button and go fold a load of laundry.  Pathetic!    The  guys were out on Monday but they couldn't get a good signal from the house to the little town 5 miles away where the signal comes from.    They think they can get it from our machine shed/barn so that's what they're going to try tomorrow.     I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!

And because I can't go too many posts without an animal picture, I present "Baby Goat in Flight."

It's been warm and dry the past couple days so the boys have let the baby animals and their moms out in the pasture for a romp.    The goat kids absolutely flip!   The only thing cuter than a baby goat is a baby goat romping all over the pasture.   They look like joy in motion, the way they  run,  jump and kick while in midair.     It's also a riot to watch the moms trying to keep their babies close by, and to tell if the right kid/lamb is coming up to the right mom for a snack.    Guess how the moms tell which babies are theirs - they sniff the babies' back end before they let he/she move in for a snack.   And they always know which ones are their own.    Glad I can tell which children are mine just by looking at them!

I hope you can get high speed, I'll keep my fingers crossed that all goes well. And no kidding about the hind end sniffing thing to figure out which baby is which, I'm glad we can tell our kids from other kids just by looking at 'em!

Funny! Yeah, we are blessed to recognize our kids faces!

When we got high speed a couple of years ago, the signal tower was too close to our house and we had a hard time recieving it. We live on the outskirts of town and it is easier to get a signal down lower. So now we have this big ugly antenae on top of the roof but the internet sure is quick!

Cute goat picture :)

Yes, I am very fortunate that I do not have to sniff my boys to know who they are. That is such a blessing ;)

Hope all goes well with you getting your high speed connection..you'll love it :)

Adorn magazine

I bought this issue of Adorn and I thought there were some cute projects too. But I kind of thought that for the price they could have used nicer paper and I also thought that the ads and the articles looked too much alike. In spite of that, I really enjoyed it.

I love your animal pictures!
