I was tagged for a 7 x 7 meme by Danielle at Aknittingmom, so here we go!

7 things to do before I die:

1. See my children grow up to be happy, healthy, content, independent, all that good stuff
2. See my grandchildren
3. Take a family vacation with all my children, their spouses, and grandchildren
4. Be a world traveler (the list of places I'd like to visit is long!)
5. See the 2 areas of the US I've never visited - the Pacific NW and the  Southwest
6. Learn to play the piano
7. Take a photography class

7 Things I Cannot do:

1. Play the piano
2. Sing
3. Decorate a cake
4. Sleep when someone in the room is snoring
5. Run/jog any distance (bad knees since track in high school)
6. Do a hoola-hoop
7. Grow my fingernails out long

7 Things That Attract Me To Illinois:   (hmm, this is hard, I'm not that in love with IL)

1.  The changing 4 seasons
2.  Proximity to Chicago, yet we're in a rural area
3.  Wide open spaces
4.  My parents, sister and her family all live here
5.  Champaign/Urbana (went to U of I there, lots of good memories)
6.   Now I'm stuck
7.   I am so stuck.   I once took a test online that asked a million questions and then told you where your ideal place to live is.   Mine was Kalispell, Montana, of all places.   Pretty far from here!

7 Things I say:

1.  Somebody take Max out to pee
2.  I don't think so
3.  Rats
4.  Whoosh
5.  Seriously
6.  Guess what
7.  Did you fnish your schoolwork

7 Good Books :

1.  Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen (my fav)
2.  LOTR by Tolkien  (second fav)
3.  Dumbing us Down by John Taylor Gatto
4.  Anne of Green Gables by L M Montgomery
5.  Mitford Series by Jan Karon
6.  The Daughter of Time by Josephine Tey  (my fav mystery)
7.  The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova

7 Good Movies:   **Like books, there are so many to pick from!   I love movies!  (and books)

1.  Pride & Prejudice (BBC version with Colin Firth!!)   (really, any of the movies based on Jane Austen novels--except Mansfield Park!  Ugh!  What was that?!)
2.  LOTR series
3.  North by Northwest
4.  The Sound of Music
5.  Hotel Rwanda
6.  It's a Wonderful Life
7.  The Princess Bride

I'm supposed to tag 7 people but I always get stuck here - plus I know I've seen this on a lot of blogs already but can't remember whose.   So if you haven't done it, go for it!

And, since I can't bring myself to post without some kind of picture, and since I mentioned the U of I up there, here's a picture from a U of I basketball game my husband and the older boys went to last month.   That speck down there in the middle is "The Chief."   Little did we know it would be one of his final appearances.

I'm glad to find out I'm not the only one who can't sleep when someone is snoring! :)

My mom's family is from that part of Illinois. My grandpa graduated from that college. Every time my grandparents go back to visit, we get navy, orange, and white sweatsuits.
