Note to self:

Note to self:   don't attempt sock knitting while zoned out on muscle relaxant  (sp??) meds.   Even if you are totally bored to death
from lying around, trying to recover from what the doctor calls a "si injury."
I overdid it big time last week with the spring organizing, which led to pain, meds, a trip to the dr, shots and other fun things.     I could kick myself because I know that unless I'm exercising regularly, I tend to have problems with my back and this was a problem with a capital P!    Thankfully, it's not the type of problem that will require surgery, and it is slowly getting better, especially after the shots.   Yesterday was the first day I could stand to sit up for more than 15 minutes, so I feel like an entire week slipped by without me.   Well, it pretty much did!     Another thing to be thankful for is that the boys are all old enough to pitch in and help, and I think they got pretty good at doing the laundry!   (I told them not to mess with my clothes though)     So, 2 big lessons learned:   Don't neglect the stretching/exercising and don't try to knit socks while in a prescription drug induced fog!

I completely enjoyed browsing through your blog! I hope you're feeling better soon, and the sock looks great! Do you have second sock syndrome or is that the one you're currently working on?

Sorry to hear that you've been laid up... Back injuries are the worst - b/c as long as you don't move, you forget that you're feeling bad. The lying there, totally bored... ugh, ugh, ugh.

Glad to hear that nature--and pain meds--are taking their course and that you're recovering. Also, how nice that the boys are pitching in!

Continue to heal,
xo

I so know where you are right now! It's the PITTS :( Hope your back feels better soon. I too have to get up early and force myself to do my stretches first thing in the morning and I have to do my exercises(with weights) or I'm useless.
Take good care of yourself!
Sure hope you'll be feeling like knitting soon :)

I hope you are able to have some good rest time--this always helps! Stay away from the knitting needles--and the kitchen knives and such--when you are on meds! ;)

Oh I sure do hope you feel better soon. That's very funny about not knitting on pain meds. though. What happened did the sock turn out with no heel or something ? LOL. Take it easy, hopefully you'll be up and around before you know it!

Bummer about your back!! There is nothing worse than back pain!! (which we've been dealing with here as well!!) Stick to the mindless knitting when you're on those drugs!!
