Ballband Withdrawal

I just can't go too long without casting on for a ballband!  (or two)   It's a nice little break from the socks I'm working on , which are for my husband and so aren't in very perky or bright colors.
By the way,  I gave you all that unsolicited goat/sheep info to answer a question from the comments.  In case you were wondering why I decided that was must-have info!     ; )

My youngest had his first baseball practice this morning, and it's only 5 minutes away so it was okay for me to drive him over there.  (supposed to avoid long car rides because of the back)   I took my knitting and my ipod (I'm as addicted to the "Official Lost Podcast" as I am to the show itself) and the time just flew!    Wish I'd had both of those all those years I took the older boys to practices!!    Just think of all the dishcloths I could have made!!

I like how bright those are. What exactly are they?

These are dishcloths knit in the "ballband" pattern, made out of Peaches n Creme and Sugar n Creme cotton yarn. The pattern is on the back of the Peaches n Creme yarn label and also in the "Mason Dixon" knitting book. I love to make them up in bright color combos!

Those ballbands are so "happy". They would keep me interested in doing the dishes no doubt :)
It's good to knit at baseball. I always knit at all games including basketball. You should have seen me yesterday afternoon knitting all bundled up(was very cold here) with gloves on. I'm sure everyone was talking about me behind my back. But, I was very happy :)

happy knitting :)

I'm going to have to try those -- I love handknit dishcloths. It's funny, I was just thinking the same thing about knitting and baseball games a week ago when I went to my nephew's game -- I worked on one of those little felted bags thinking boy I wish I'd had this to work on for all those years of baseball games when my boys were little. And btw, I scrolled through your previous post again, 'cause I just love that one picture of your little lamby where he's looking at the camera with the sparkle in his eye -- I want one of those!!!

Oooh, I love the colors you chose! They are so happy! I love this pattern. I have about a dozen I'd like to make.... It's a very fun pattern to make into a felted bag as well!
Hoping your back feels better everyday. My son is much improved... hoping to avoid surgery #3!!
