Crazy!

Crop dusters are amazing to watch - they must be at least a little crazy to do what they do!    This guy was spraying  a field near our house so I drove down to try and get a few pictures.      None of them were great but this one  shows how daring he is!     Just look at how low he's flying and  how close to the electric lines  he is!
The fair last week wraps up fair season for us , and naturally I've got more pictures!   This is a nice little fair that lasts for just a couple days, but all the sheep get another  bath, blow dry, and clipping to be show-ring ready.

Thistle did a great job again and won Grand Champion Ewe!  We're really hoping that this spring we'll get some nice lambs from her.

They were really whipping through the categories as they wanted to finish the show before we all melted in the heat, (good idea!)  so it made things a little hectic at times -- trying to get sheep put back and others taken to the show ring.     Here I am holding one lamb for the boys, with my show book shoved under my arm that I'm trying to keep track of the order with.  (see, sometimes I do more than sit in a lawnchair)

With all that over, I've been dividing my time between ordering the last of my curriculum and setting things up on my Edu-Track software for the upcoming school year.   We bought this software a couple years ago and I really like it - I can input lessons and grades, and it'll print out report cards, weekly assignments, and a very nice looking transcript.   I've  been printing out schedules and study guides from this website, if you use Apologia  science you should really check it out!

I also got this little guy done - now to finish that baby blanket!

Don't forget to leave a comment here, guessing how many sheep we took to this last fair.  The contest is open through Friday!
