Harvest goes on.....and on......and on........
The harvest is still on-going, (they hope to finish this week) and Saturday they did the field around our house. That's always fun to watch and the younger boys spent most of the afternoon riding in the combine with their dad.

Here's a tractor and an auger wagon:
A good auger wagon driver can "catch on the fly," which means the combine can unload into the auger cart while the combine is still moving, like this:

The auger wagon will take the corn to the semi on the edge of the field, which then hauls its load to the grain bins for drying and storage.
Here's the two older boys giving the goats a mineral supplement. Not to state the obvious, but the goats didn't like it much.

Remember little Doodle? She has come a long way! She's the tamest of all the sheep and she still likes to come over for a head scratch when she sees any of us. (in fact, I had a hard time taking her picture because she kept following me)

No knitting progress to show at all! Every evening last week, I either took the boys to an activity or fed dinner to farmer husband and all his helpers. Either way, by the time I got done each night I was feeling too lazy to even pick up my knitting needles. Maybe this week!

Hey, hey, hey....are they hurting my goat??? This could be some trouble LOL! Doodle is so cute! I was wondering about the harvest the other day -- the nice weather seemed to last so long this year -- but no more! Are they wearing their mittens today? ;-)
