In the Mood
I generally try to avoid the early onslaught of Christmas - you know, like when the stores are full of Christmas trees by October 1st! But now it's November, and it's getting cold out, and when I start seeing these, I can't help but start to feel the Christmas vibe:

And, I made the mistake of checking out the new Martha Christmas goodies at the local
Michael's - actually, I did very little damage in the face of all that holiday craftiness.
But I couldn't completely break free from Martha's spell, so I did come home with a couple packs of these:

And I definitely needed one of these:

- for, uh, my Christmas cards, yep, that's it . Not a frivolous purchase at all. Nope.
(it's a hole punch)
ps. The men finished the harvest tonight! Yea! Now they will start the fall tillage work, but the big rush is over.
pps. Someone asked about our chicken breeds - the black ones are Black Australorps. We also have White Leghorns, Barred Rocks, White Rocks, Buff Orpingtons, and Silver Lace Wyandottes. It's a chicken menagerie!

Christmas cups at Starbucks.... yep, tis the season! (I guess I'll stop by ours today just to see if they have them yet! ;-)) Definitely feels cold enough outside! Glad the harvest is done.

I'm still waiting for the holiday spirit to hit me. Probably won't be until the middle of December.

I was at Michaels a few weeks ago and didn't even stop by the Martha section even though I saw it in the corner of my eye. I needed to head to the Wilton cake section and was on a tight schedule. I am sure it would have been futile to resist buying if I had looked.
What does the Branch ceramic thing do?

I am glad that your guys are done with the heavy harvesting work as I am sure that your hubs has more time and energy these days.
I am starting to feel Christmas in the air too. We are going on vacation in a week and after that it will be Christmas craft central around here!

I got a little taste of the Christmas rush today too - crowds at the mall! Love the punch and I'm sure you will make lovely Christmas cards with it!

Mmm - there's nothing like a starbucks, especially when it's one of their special holiday themed drinks!

Christmas is coming way to fast. Haven't started any shopping yet. I get sick when I think of it. Martha's products are wonderful. I tape her show and often drool over all the stuff. I know I better stay away form Michael's because it would be too tempting :)
