The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY Monday March 9th, 2009...
Outside my window... it's dark, because I didn't get to be on the computer all day till now
I am thinking... of how bad my house will probably look to my mom when she comes to stay this weekend
I am thankful for... enough fuel to keep us warm and with hot water, enough food to keep our cupboards full
From the kitchen... I put chicken breast in the oven to cook, then let my husband heat up leftovers to go with it
I am wearing... navy sweat pants, grey sweatshirt, and two pairs of fuzzy socks
I am going... to work on my mother-in-law's apartment tomorrow (sigh)  I'm worried that we won't finish in time.
I am reading... that book by David Jerimiah I talked about for so long---I've finally started reading it---"What in the World is Going On"
I am hoping... that this nasty head cold will go away soon
I am hearing... the boys watching Veggie Tales video, and coughing
Around the house... I did some dishes today, and cleaned a bit in the livingroom.  Not as much as I wanted to accomplish, but at least it's something.
One of my favorite things... warm weather---when you don't have to put on scarf, winter coat, boots, and gloves just to go outside.  Boy am I ready for spring!
A few plans for the rest of the week:  tomorrow I am taking my mom with me and the boys to work on my mother-in-law's apartment; Wednesday, hopefully dh will be off so we can get some banking and other errands done for his mom; Thursday is homeschooling gym and housework; Friday we go pick up my mom to come and spend the weekend with us:  Saturday is her birthday---she'll be 81---and we're going out to dinner.  Somewhere in there we need to also celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday, which is Thursday; she'll be 86.
