We homeschool year round, and our school year goes from July 1-June 30, so we've actually been "back to school" for a month now.  We are very relaxed, and the year round idea works well for our family.

Another thing that works well is using information from the World Book site to plan what we're doing for each grade.  They have a Typical Course of Study for each grade.  Another homeschool mom put me on to this, and it's been the best thing ever!  We have quite a bit of paperwork to do for NYS and having this all done by grade is a huge help.
