Late Night Special

Well there are a couple of reasons for me calling it "Late Night Special," but I won't go into detail telling you about that. I will tell you that I had a great time with my Dad, going to Mariposa at 10:30 in the morning, playing video games for 18 hours till four in the morning at a hotel there, and drinking a 32 ounce milk shake. But what I really want to tell you about is my time with my Dad. Every year at different times, the kids get to pick something that they want to do. Anything (except something that's a ton a money). I, this year, about killed him with video game playing. But it meant a lot to me that he would take the time to do something that I wanted to do, even if it wasn't what he wanted. I thank God for a great Dad like mine: one who spends time with you and helps you get through the tough times (for me that night it was defeating Sentinals).. I really had a Late Night Special with my Dad.

Time: Use It Wisely

I sometimes don't use my time wisely. Today for instance, instead of doing my school work, I was complaining on how much I had to do, and asking what benefit  Latin is going to be in the future. I said to my Dad, "I hate Latin. You're torturing me with having to do this".

Sometimes God tests us with these types of circumstances. He wants us not to do what I did, but to say, "You know what? Even though I don't enjoy doing this, I'm going to do this and with a good heart too."

Next time you're in a situation where you don't want to do something, here are four things you should do.

1. Stop

2. Look to the Bible. That is where all answers are.

3. Say to yourself, (not to your Dad in your most sarcastic voice) "You know what? Even though I don't enjoy doing this, I'm going to do this and with a good heart too."

4. Go and apply it.

These four rules will (I hope) help you to do everything rejoicing in the Lord.

About Me

Well, I decided to give you a little info on myself. Here we go:

I am thirteen years old with many interests. But I won't tell you everything that's on my profile. I live just about 30 miles south of Modesto, CA. I have lived in about 7 different homes. I am studying, (or used to be and will be again), Java. I go to Church at C.V.E.R.C. in Ceres, CA. (Heres a link for the website, www.cverc.org).

There are many other things about me but I won't bore you any more. My desire is to come closer to the Lord, and that is my hope for you too.  Please visit my bros' blog sites (Coreboar,Dadspeanut) and my Mom's (Stevewend).

C.V.E.R.C. And Company

March 27, 2006. Pretty much like every other day. As I sit here I look back and see how much God has worked in my life, and the life of others. What I mostly think about is the church that 6 families came to start. 6 families with ours being the smallest, and everybody else with an average of about 5 kids. We started meeting at the Fletcher home in February 2004. We have grown now out of somebody's home with 6 families into a church packed with 120 people. God has really made a great work come from a few. I thank him daily for all that he has given us. We came to C.V.E.R.C. after our church in San Andreas didn't want its denomination changed. It is so cool that we already have a ton of people. I hope that we will grow in maturity as we grow in size in the following years.
