Here is a sneek peek into the Lesson Planning System.

To setup the program, simple enter the start date, children's name, and subjects.  All of the colors are customizable.

(To view larger screen shot, click above.  A new window will open.  Click on the image to magnify.)

Note:  The tabs across the bottom correspond to the colors that you select for each child and display their names.

Enter the lessons for the family into the family page and enter the lessons for individual children on their pages (not shown)

(To view a larger screen shot, click picture.  It will open in a new window then click on the new picture to magnify.)

To advance a lesson to the next day, simply click on the entry and click on "Push Forward" button.  To advance an entire days lessons, highlight all of the entries and click "Push Forward".

Two options are available for printing... Weekly and Daily

The Weekly Report displays all information for one child including family activities.

All reports print in black and white regardless of the colors that you choose.

To print a report... Select the week number to print from a pull down menu and click the print button.  You can choose the number of children to report before you print.

Daily reports are also available.  Simply select the week to print from a pull down menu and click on the print button.

This system requires MicroSoft Excel.  I have plans to also have a OpenOffice Calc version in the near future.

I really like having the tabs all on one screen. I tried using a planning software for lesson plans, but I had to keep going out to the Main Menu...it was a pain. This is VERY straightforward!! Plus, I can see it all on one screen. BTW, I'm lovin' the calendar. I cannot tell you how many times I use it to see where we'd be if I moved days off around the school year...I can see when we'd finish up for the year, etc. love it! love it! THANK YOU!!

Wow I'm impressed! Are you selling this? How do I get one?? lol I have been wondering how to count all the days we have school adding summer and when to add weeks off for breaks. I am organize-challenged lol.

Oh, this is gonna be awesome! I can't wait to get my Excel CD in the mail from my brother and get it installed on this computer. Then it will be party time!
That, or you and he will be bugged to death by me asking incessant "Excel questions!" Be afraid, be very afraid.
Oh, I wish I could feel your pain on the email thing. I do in that I imagine not having email working is tough, but as far as what all you said in the post....Well, it was Greek to me...Or Korean for that matter! lol!

Reports and Comparison with Homeschool Tracker
Reports and Comparison with Homeschool Tracker
Hi,

Love the colors and tabs!

2 questions:

1. Will one be able to run end of year reports and transcripts from this program?

2. Also, how does it compare to Homeschool Tracker? I'd like something less complicated and with more assignment and reporting options.

Thanks! Janet
