Where is the Time Going?
I cannot believe that Thanksgiving is next week. The time has been going so fast. It seems that November just started and soon we will be celebrating Thanksgiving. Does anyone else feel the time slipping away quickly? It just shows me the importance of making everyday meaningful and special. Each day we have is a gift from our Lord and we should show how much we appreciate this gift by the way we live.
Psalm 90:12
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
I pray that the Lord will teach me to number my days that I may apply my heart unto wisdom. I don't want to just live day by day without the wisdom of the Lord. I want my life to be a continual life of praise and service to my Lord. It is the least I can do for all He's done for me.
This week will be the last week for the snowflake contest. On Saturday, I will randomly pick a winner. If anyone is interested in ordering please let me know so I can get my fingers busy stitching away.

We have a pretty quiet week this week. I would like to incorporate some Thanksgiving into our theme this week and next. We have a homeschool meeting on Friday and our usual errands throughout the week. Each Wednesday, we go to the library. I love the library and we have a very good system here. I request books from all over the state. Right now, we have about 20 books that are being transferred to our library. It is a huge blessing to have access to so many wonderful books. We are studying Marco Polo and the Silk Road and I have found the most wonderful books online and then requested them from the library.
I will be working on more home projects. I have some more decluttering to do. Piles are forever growing in our home. I am still working on my homekeepers binder. I hope to have it all ready for the beginning of December. I will also try to get some sewing done. I will be preparing our menu and shopping list for Thanksgiving. I will need to look at all the sales ads for the best values. I would love to be able to have a fresh turkey from a local farm but that does not look like it will work out this year. We will be bringing my mother in law home for Thanksgiving. She is in a nursing home to due paralysis and a seizure disorder from a stroke. Please pray that all goes well. We have an ambulance who will drive her to the door but will not bring her in. We have to lift her and the wheelchair 3 steps to come into the house. This is usually a bit difficult. My husband has a bad back. Unfortunately, the ambulance company also charges about $210 for the round trip. Please pray that all will go well. I would appreciate any and all prayers for our finances because we have had some unexpected expenses. It has been a bit difficult. I had an accident with our van last week. When leaving the bank, I hit a cement block that was in the driveway but I could not see it. It has quite a bit of damage. I don't know why the damage is so bad, I don't think I was even going 5 mph. We are not sure what to do with this. We don't want it to rust and that is our only concern. If I come to mind please keep these things in prayer.
Blessings!

I hit a small block wall once in the side of my van. It was low and I couldn't see it. That cost alot too.
So sorry to hear this.
