Farm Girl
I was visiting the Garden Goose and came upon this wonderful Farm Girl Blog-a-thon. I do not live on a farm but in my heart I am a farm girl tried and true.
I am joining this blog-a-thon a week late but I just couldn't resist. I have always felt that I am a farm girl at heart. I have never lived on a farm but have always desired to. I still dream of it daily. I would love to raise some goats,
sheep,
and chickens.
I can see a very large garden just outside my kitchen farm window. There would be many varities of vegetables and herbs growing in my farm garden.

Someday I will live out in the country on a farm but until then I will dream in color.
The first week of the Farm Girl Blog a thon featured aprons. I know I missed this but I can't help post about it because I absolutely love aprons. I love vintage aprons and the new splashy aprons. Nothing plain! Here are some of the aprons I love:

I love these vintage aprons! I can just picture who wore these beautiful aprons in days gone by.
I can just imagine the very special occasion this apron was used for.
I love the shape of this new apron. The fabric patterns are great, too.
I love the style and cut of this apron. It is so adorable.
Now I need to start sewing my own aprons!!!

Ruth, I am so glad to meet you!!! Love your post!! Yes, you must start sewing aprons, because once you do, you won't want to stop!! Then you give your girlfriends beautiful aprons for gifties, and if they are like my friends, they look at you funny!!! But you'll just smile and enjoy your farmgirl ways!!!
~Blessings!

Those aprons are cute. I love living on a farm. I can't imagine being anywhere else. We have goats, cattle, chickens, ducks, many cats and dogs.

Hi sweet friend,
Thank you for stopping by the other day to say hello. Sadly, I don't hear much from any TGR girls anymore. I hope you are doing well. I loved reading about your future farm and hope it for you someday. Farm living teaches us many things about ourselves and who God is. I hope we never leave our little place in the country.
God's best to you,
Angela

I love all your dreams for a country way of life. Those pictures of the goats and chickens are so precious. I used to have chickens and they are wonderful. I guess I'm a country girl - I live on 10 acres outside of town - and I love it!! Thanks for reminding me of how blessed I am.
I so appreciate your kind comment you left on my blog when my hubby was recovering after his last hospital stay. It so blesses me!!
God bless you ~ Julie

Hi Ruth,
I always *think* I would love to live on a farm. David tells me I like the idea of it but wouldn't do well at all! As a child we lived behind my grandparents who had cows, pigs, goats, chickens and a garden. My girls still cannot believe that I bottle fed a little pig =P I wouldn't go near one today! I love aprons too and the ones you posted are adorable.

I remember seeing the crochet apron and dashing off to research them. I don't think we have them here in Australia. I am probably very wrong. Since I love crochet it is very interesting.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I raise boer goats that we show and these are meat goats. I also cross-bred with my dairy goats which I have found out these little cross-breds make good meat goats and do very well in the ring. I trully enjoy raising goats. I do have two dairy goats that I milk twice a day, couldn't handle any more since I milk by hand.lol Hope you and yours have a blessed day.
