The Simple Woman's Daybook
For today
Outside My Window...is a garden spot with a bench and my green wagon. On the bench, is a porcelain dove and birdhouse.
I am thinking...of how cloudy and cool it is today and I can't hang my laundry out.
I am thankful for...finishing school on time and getting all of our work completed.
From the kitchen...I have a pot roast that I made for supper and I will make some rice, brocolli and cauliflower to go with it.
I am wearing...a tan linen skirt, a coral top and a sweater.
I am creating...a crocheted trim for my living room curtains.
I am going...to visit my mother in law at the nursing home today.
I am reading...God's Smuggler right now and am absolutely amazed at this wonderful book.
I am hoping...for some sunshine and that our garden will continue to grow well.
I am hearing...nothing. At this moment it is actually silent in our house.
Around the house...things are picked up, the floors are clean, the dryer is running and I need to put the clean sheets back on my bed.
One of my favorite things...is a pretty magazine and to see other's craft studios.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: I am hoping to sew the curtains for my son's room, clean his windows and put them up. I would like to clean out my craft/ school storage room downstairs.
Here is picture thought I am sharing...
The garden box my husband built. We used the chicken wire to keep the crazy squirrels out. He did such a great job. I didn't do more because I'm not sure it will grow well here. If it does well we will do more next year.

Have You tried Chilli Powder to keep Squirrels away , nearly all rodents stay as far away from chili powder as they can because it burns their eye's , it wont work with birds , they seem immune. I have only had one squirrel luncheon in my garden , then i chillies everything and have had no problems.
