Projects
I am finally putting up pictures of some of the projects we have completed this year. I have talked of putting up these pictures for quite some time and am only now getting to them. One of the pictures is of a quilt that I made for my mom. It is a cross-stitch quilt that took me more time than I expected. I started to think that this would never be completed but the day finally came. My mom was happy to finally receive the quilt she had heard about. I gave her a picture of the quilt for Christmas because my original goal was to give her the quilt for Christmas. She finally received it on Mother's Day.
Here it is:

Here is the fabric that I backed the quilt with:

This is a picture of a model of the hanging gardens that my dd made this year:

Below is a yurt that dd also made for history. I especially love how this came out.

This last picture is of a salt relief map ds made. It is of the Turkish invasion of the Byzantine Empire.

I hope you enjoyed some of the projects that have kept us busy throughout this year.
Blessings~

Your cross stitch quilt came out beautiful. I really like the projects your children did too -- we didn't get to do to many of those types of things this year.

Your quilt is beautiful, Ruth! I bet your Mom was so blessed...
All of the kids projects look really neat, too. It seems that when my kids do projects, the learn it more. Oh, and what in the free world is a yurt?! LOL!

Hello!
I came across your blog here... I am new with Homeschool Blogger but I have been blogging for a few years now. You have done a great job with yours! I enjoyed reading through it. I am a homeschool graduate and as such my blog is focused on encouraging young women in Christ. My original blog, A Quill and Inkwell, can be found at www.quillandinkwell.wordpress.com if you are curious. Anyway, great job!

Hi Ruth,
Thanks for praying and leaving words of encouragement on my blog. We are hopeful that, in doing what is right in the sight of the Lord and honoring His ways, our needs will be met. The Lord is faithful and I'm depending on Him wholeheartedly - sometimes wearily, but always wholeheartedly.
I just can't get over that quilt. The colors are so very pretty!
