"Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored." Titus 2:3-5 (NASB)

Everything went well with the appointment today. The ultrasound showed everything being great. My little girl is practicing her breathing movements really well! I had a few questions I wanted to ask the midwife so I asked if I could see her before we left. You see I was only scheduled for an ultrasound today - no office visit with the midwife. So they worked me in and I was able to sit and talk with the midwife about my concerns and ask my questions. She answered my questions. She also addressed my concerns and my mind is more at ease now.
Our baby girl has definitely been an active one tonight! And I love it! I am scheduled for monitoring on Thursday. The midwife said that if she sees anything at all that might cause any concern, they'll go ahead and induce me then and not wait until Tuesday. If everything looks great, I will be heading to the hospital on Tuesday, Feb. 5th to be induced. It's almost time!! I am so excited!
It's been a long day and I am ready for some relaxation with a cup of coffee and a good book!
Thanks for the update! I am thrilled that everything is going well. Your almost at the end...I am excited for you! I can't wait to find out her name....Judy is a pretty good one ; )

Peace of mind is a great thing. I am praying for you and "our" baby girl. We have prayed for a baby for a long time and it just hasn't happened. Seeing this baby girl come into the world healthy and happy, is a joy for me. PRAISE GOD!!!
Hugs,
Christy
Karen, if you find yourself tired :) of all the resting (can that happen?) and decide to get back on the computer... I've tagged you. But only do it if you feel up to it. Don't feel like you have to.
If you can't do it, it's ok! I read your blog as often as I can and I think this is such a wonderful way to bring up old posts that I may have missed before.
1. Pick up the nearest book (of at least 123 pages).
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people
The ultimate goal of Christian home education is to train children to impact the world for God. We want our children to not only hear and learn God's Word, but also be doers of God's Word. Therefore, we strive to teach them:
SERVICE - How to serve God and others
ACHIEVEMENT - To do the best they can in all they do from academic subjects to chores to serving others and more
LOVE - To love God and one another
TRUTH - To live their lives based on the absolute Truth of God
The name of this blog is the acronym for these four areas that we strive to teach our children:
S.A.L.T. - Service, Achievement, Love, Truth
