"Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored." Titus 2:3-5 (NASB)

I know that so many of you have been anxiously waiting to hear how things are going. Thanks for being so patient! We were able to bring our baby girl home this past Friday! It is so good to have her home with us! She is doing great! We're having some problems with breast feeding in that it is hurting a lot when she latches on. But we're working on it. She eats well and is sleeping well also! In fact, each night so far she has had at least a 4 hour stretch of sleep usually 4-5 hours. This has been wonderful as it gives me those hours of solid, continuous sleep.
I don't have a lot of time to be on the computer right now as we are still adjusting. In time, we will have more of a schedule. Our little girl is really attached to me and pretty much wants to be with me ALL the time it seems. However, I don't mind. And I feel that some of that is her need for security after having such a rough start. So she has my full attention right now. She is sooooooo beautiful! Hopefully, I'll be able to get some pictures up for all of you all soon. I know you are anxious to see her!
I am so excited for you! What a dream come true!
I have been checking back often and glad to hear everything is going well. Can't wait to see pictures or find out her name.
Enjoy every minute of her.

Congrats on the new baby!
I am so glad to hear she is doing well :)
When I started nursing my little one I had pain when she would latch on, and my midwife suggested Lansinoh. It is pure Lanolin, and it helps so much with the pain, even if you don't have a crack or blister, it still helps soften up the skin and it makes it easier to get the baby latched on. This stuff saved my sanity in the first few weeks of nursing, lol.
Praise God!!! I was about to look you up. It is great to hear your miracle baby is doing well. I know you have a great sense of joy everytime you look at her. Thanks for sharing the miracle with us too. You all rest and just drop a note every once in a while so we know your ok.
HUGS,
Christy
I know you are relishing every moment!
I know I have asked a couple times what her name is but....it just occurred to me...you may not want to share her name on here for privacy reasons...so do we at least have a bloggy nickname for her?
The ultimate goal of Christian home education is to train children to impact the world for God. We want our children to not only hear and learn God's Word, but also be doers of God's Word. Therefore, we strive to teach them:
SERVICE - How to serve God and others
ACHIEVEMENT - To do the best they can in all they do from academic subjects to chores to serving others and more
LOVE - To love God and one another
TRUTH - To live their lives based on the absolute Truth of God
The name of this blog is the acronym for these four areas that we strive to teach our children:
S.A.L.T. - Service, Achievement, Love, Truth
