~ My Current Memory Verses ~

"Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored."
Titus 2:3-5 (NASB)

~ 2009 Theme Verse ~

"Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass"
I Thessalonians 5:24 (NASB)

Lies Women Believe

Personal "To Do" List

I started my daughter on one of her chores this past week.  This week I will most likely be adding bread baking to the list.  She loves to help cook so I am going to teach her how to make homemade bread and allow her to start making it more regularly for us.  Amongst her chores is keeping her room straight.  We are working on that one as she tends to like to just lay things down wherever and not put them back.

Cleaning List

I am still working on my home management binder.  I am making this my own binder and not following any one certain format.  I'm gleaning from different sources for ideas.  Right now I have my morning and night-time routine in the front.  Then I have three sections right now:  one for my time alone with God, one for meal planning, and one for cleaning.

School "To-Do" List

I started back with my personal Bible memorizations this past week.  Now I need to get back to our family Bible memorizations.  My daughter is doing well with her school work.  Things are running pretty smoothly so far.

Blogging "To-Do" List

(1)  Do Thankful Thursdays post.

(2)  Do Lies Women Believe study post on my ministry blog.

Our lunch choices this week will be:

Sounds like a great plan! My dd is a list maker, so I'll bet your ideas will be something she will implement when she gets older. She is only 11, but often comes to me in the evening, pen and paper in hand, asking me what is on the list for the next day so she can write it down.

Your meals look great. I have to start my kids back on their summer chores. With our vacation and the move things have been a little crazy, but we need to get back into our routine.
Have a great week!

I hope your week went well! Looks like a yummy menu. We had Potato soup last week (I changed the split pea soup last week to potato soup) because a local grocery store had potatoes 99 cents for 5 pounds. Now that's a deal!
I've been reading Lies Women Believe also. I'll have to check out your links on it. I'm really enjoying the book, so I think I'll enjoy your added resources too. Thank you so much for adding them to your blog!

~ A Little About Us ~

The ultimate goal of Christian home education is to train children to impact the world for God. We want our children to not only hear and learn God's Word, but also be doers of God's Word. Therefore, we strive to teach them:
  1. SERVICE - How to serve God and others
  2. ACHIEVEMENT - To do the best they can in all they do from academic subjects to chores to serving others and more
  3. LOVE - To love God and one another
  4. TRUTH - To live their lives based on the absolute Truth of God
The name of this blog is the acronym for these four areas that we strive to teach our children: S.A.L.T. - Service, Achievement, Love, Truth
