"Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored." Well, I've finished with my main lesson plans for the most part. Yay!!! I do want to put together some things for my daughter's school work that will keep her reviewing concepts while we take a break when the baby is born. I will probably work on that tomorrow. I'm still trying to rest a lot. If you get a chance, read my recent pregnancy update to see how my last appointment went and what my midwife did. I am hoping that my body will go into labor on its own in the next day or two so that I won't have to take Pitosin this week when I go in for the induction. I am scheduled for Tuesday. I go in Monday for an ultrasound also. Due to my having the baby this coming week, there will be no Whatever Weekends for the next two weekends (maybe longer). Please check back towards the end of that two weeks to see if there are any updates as to when the next Whatever Weekends post will be.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. If you are participating, please sign Mr. Linky below.

I have this weekend and most likely next weekend to work on any more lesson planning. I'm still trying to rest a lot. After the amniocentisis this past Monday, I was given more restrictions. I'm not on complete bedrest (thank goodness!) but I'm supposed to take it very easy. I really am basically camping out on the couch a lot. I'm glad I can get out and take a ride. It's nice to have that change of scenery. So I won't be having any major to-do lists probably for a good couple of months. My focus to-do for right now is rest, rest, and rest some more. I am blessed with a wonderful hubby who has pretty much taken over all household duties and making sure that between him and the children, they get done. Isn't that wonderful? Such a blessing. We are ready for our little girl to be born! The crib is ready for her to sleep in. The car seat is ready to be put in the car on Feb. 5th. My hospital bag is packed and ready for the most part. Arrangements are already made for our other children for when I'm in the hospital. So, we're pretty much ready!

This will most likely be my last weekend to get some major lesson planning done. I'm still trying to rest a lot. I am heading out before too long for another prenatal appointment where they will be doing the monitoring and then a regular prenatal visit. I can officially say that for the most part, the crib is about ready! My hubby will be washing and drying some baby things (clothes, blankets, crib sheets, etc.) this weekend. I'll put a fresh clean crib sheet on the crib along with a blanket. And we'll be ready! I also need to pack my hospital bag this weekend so it will be ready. This is so exciting! I can't wait to be holding our little girl in my arms!

I have this weekend and next weekend and then I'll be having our little girl! I can't wait. I am resting a lot right now so I don't have plans for these next two weekends. My husband has worked hard this week to get the house cleaned, organized, and in order. He has done such a wonderful job. Both of the children got their rooms looking pretty good. Now we are going to work on maintaining everything and keeping it nice and organized! The only thing left that I need to do is finish putting up the things that have piled up in the crib. I may try to get that accomplished some time this weekend.

I most likely won't be making any major plans on the weekend for the next few weekends. For these next three weeks, my main goal will be to rest and take it easy. I will be trying to finish up lesson plans over these next few weeks to make sure everything is planned out for my son's schoolwork through the end of the school year. I also hope to do some work on my new Bible study. These are both things I can do while trying to take it easy.

Our schedule hasn't been regular this week with the holidays. Next week will most likely also be irregular with New Year's and my prenatal appointment. I think for this weekend, I want to take it easy. However, I would like to try to do the following things:
(1) Continue working on lesson plans in science and history. I'm making some progress in this area. I'm hoping to be finished with the basic lesson plans for science here shortly. Then I'll move on to the history.
(2) Start looking over the material I've already written for another Bible study I truly believe God has led me to write. I'd like to begin working on it more regularly now that my other study is finished.
And as always, rest and relax!

I have a few things to get done this weekend. So here goes....
(1) I have to put together more worksheet problems for my son to work through in Algebra. We will probably have to go over a few lessons on Monday and then he'll need some problems to work.
Update: I just went over the material with him and had him correct the problems he got wrong. He seemed to understand the material after I went over it with him.
(2) Make more Bon-Bons before Tuesday. We will be going to my hubby's parent's house for dinner Christmas Day and I'd like to take them a plate of Bon-Bons.
(3) I've got to prepare my daughter's math test.
(4) I haven't had a chance this week to finish up the final things on my Bible study so I really want to get this done over the weekend! That way I can get it sent to my sister who is facilitating the study in January with a group of ladies in her area.
Update:I finally got this finished Tuesday! I plan to email this off to my sister on Wednesday. I also got a promotional flyer made up for her to use as well as a tentative evaluation form for the study.
(5) If I have time, I need to continue working on lesson plans in Algebra, Science, and History.
That's a pretty tall order for me to tackle this weekend. But I'm going to do my best! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

I haven't gotten very far on my lesson planning for a couple of subjects I'm wanting to get done. So.....
(1) Work on at least one week's worth of lessons for Algebra,
Science, and History
I am almost through with reading through my Bible study lessons for proofreading. I wanted to have this done by the end of this week. I actually only have 3 lessons left to read through. Then I'll have some proofreading to do for a few other remaining things to be done.
So......
(2) Finish up whatever needs to be done with this study so I can
get it into pdf format and have it ready to send out for a
group of ladies who are going to do the study in January.
My Bible study needs to be a priority project this weekend. So I will have to fit in lesson planning around that. At this point, my other order of business for the weekend is to rest and relax, spend time with my family, and go to church on Sunday.

The ultimate goal of Christian home education is to train children to impact the world for God. We want our children to not only hear and learn God's Word, but also be doers of God's Word. Therefore, we strive to teach them:
SERVICE - How to serve God and others
ACHIEVEMENT - To do the best they can in all they do from academic subjects to chores to serving others and more
LOVE - To love God and one another
TRUTH - To live their lives based on the absolute Truth of God
The name of this blog is the acronym for these four areas that we strive to teach our children:
S.A.L.T. - Service, Achievement, Love, Truth
