Ok. Moving on tot he real reason why I'm posting....
Last weekend me, Sarah, and dad went to a Father/Daughter camp out. It was so fun. :)
We go every year. I was kinda bummed this time though. We had to leave extra early cause I had to help out at a dance recital. Technically I was supposed to be IN the recital too, but since I went camping I missed the dress rehearsal and practices so the fixed the dances I was in so I wouldn't have to be in them. But I had promised months ago that I'd help out in it, so I had to do that. :)
I left JUST as they were going caving though. :( That's what really bummed me.
It was fun though. On Saturday we had a water fight in a stream. The only person who didn't get wet (though we tried) was Tanner. So we got him later. :)
He TOTALLY didn't expect it. Me and a friend hid and when he came around the corner we soaked him with buckets of water. Oh, it was fun! lol.

That's where we went on a field trip with our homeschool group today. Briarwood Safari Park.
It was so fun!
We got to ride in trailers with built in seats.
Actually me, my friend, my little friend I baby-sit and my dad rode in a truckbed, so as to even out the weight of the trailer we pulled. :)
We got to feed lots of exotic animals by hand! And pet them.
Some of the animals were: Buffalo, (man, were they huge.they were like big gentle giants) Zebra's, Elk, Antelope (from Japan and Asia), Sitka deer, Fallow Deer, an Ostrich, Emu's, and various kinds of goats and sheep.
There were lot's of other kinds of animals too but I forget the names.
Me and my friend didn't like the Ostrich AT ALL. It was so evil looking and was kinda mean. It bit my sister Sarah! Evil Ostrich. :P
Our favorites were the buffalo's Bill and Bob. They eat out of your hands in such a funny way!
They stick their tongues out, you put the food on it, then they roll their tongues back into their mouths.
Their tongues feel just like sandpaper. And they'd stick their heads RIGHT over the side of the truck. :) Like in our laps. Literally.
Our other favorites were the Sitka Deer (so cute!) and the Zebra's.
I. pet. a. Zebra! lol. That's like a once-in-a-life-time-kinda-cool-thing. :P

Right before the "safari" started. These Elk were put their entire heads and necks into the trailer to try and reach our food buckets. :) (At one time an Elk stuck her head into the cab of the truck we were riding and pulled our driver's camera bag out. :P)

The male is black with white stripes and the female is white with black. lol. jk.
Our tour guy told us that. The REAL way is the female (in the first two pics) has a brown tint to her black and the male had VERY black.

Before you ask: my wrist is wrapped cause I sprained it on Friday last, working with my dad. But that's another story. If you wanna know it (it's very short) comment and ask. :P

Sunday evening was our dance performance. I thought it went really well.
My friend Ashlyn made up her whole solo while she did it. :) She danced to Jaci Valasquez "On my Knees" It looked great! My solo was "Praise you with the dance" by Casting Crowns. I love dancing to it. :)
My friend's Lydia and Hannah did a duet to "What if his People Prayed" by Casting Crowns. It was so cool. And on the verse where it says "stopped asking Opera what to do" they slid on their knees and then got up and did the "guitar". Yeah, they held up their leg and "strummed" it. It was funny. They got a bunch of cheers for that part. :) lol.

Yesterday was Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream free cone day. All you can eat ice cream all day. My record is 12 cones. Tried to beat it this year but only had time to eat 8 before we had to leave. :P

Lemme see. Ooo!
Yesterday evening was my (now) 13 year old friend's semi-formal birthday party.(I had to wear a DRESS! lol It was a pretty purple one I borrowed from my big sis.:P)
But this wasn't an ordinary 13th birthday party. It was a party/dedication.
The father of my friend presented her with a ring.
It symbolized several things.
Her mom and dad dedicated her life to Christ. It was really touching and sweet. Almost everybody cried and when I looked at my friends I felt like I was gonna cry. They were all sniffling and misty eyed. But I didn't QUITE cry. lol.
After the dedication we all got to eat again (we had eaten before it too. :P) and then we were just kinda sitting there talking for a while. All the "little girls" (ages 4-8) were behind us playing "ring-around-the-rosies".
So I said to my friends the "big girls" (ages 10- 16 [16 being ME. lol]) "I haven't played ring-around-the-rosies since I was, like, 5. Let's play it!" They were all like "I don't think so". So I said "Whatever! Sit here if ya like. I"m gonna play ring-around-the-rosies."
So I did. I'd only played one game of it when the rest of my friends (minus 3. Party poopers! lol) joined in too. The circle got so big we had to split it into three. One inside the iother with each one smaller then the first. We musta played at least 12-13 games of ring-around-the-rosies, laughing like crazy the whole time, and I ,personally, have to say that that was when I had the most fun. :)
Yeah. It's fun pretending to be little again.
I don't know how "big girls" can stand not getting up and playing with all the "little girls". I can't. :P
The second most fun was when we all got up and danced with each other. Except the boys at the party. (most of them were about 10-11) They didn't play ring-around-the-rosies either. :P (and they asked me "aren't you too old to be playing that?" My answer: "NEVER!")
Anyhoo. We all danced with each other.
Switched partners every few minutes. :)
All together we made up about 16-17 girls. :P
I danced most with my friend GodsGirl.
(I've noticed that all my friends are younger then me. The oldest is 14. It's more fun that way. They don't make me feel like I have to act my age. :P)
And I got to dance with THE MOST HANDSOME boy at the party. Which would be my little 5yo brother Caleb. Isn't he HANDSOME? I think so.
But he needs more practice dancing. He kept stepping on my feet and he had shoes and I didn't. If I had been wearing my shoes (which I ttok off as often as possible. Can't STAND wearing them for long) I would have been TOWERING over him. Seeing how I was wearing 2 inch heels. (which is too tall for me. I wear completely flat converse normally. :P)
Caleb kept saying he didn't want to dance anymore, but when I asked him if he wanted to stop he said "Well, no. not really, Sam." He truly DOES like to dance. He just didn't like all the girls smiling at him cause he was. :)
Wooow. That came out longer then I planned. Hope you read it all! Go you if you did. :P

I don't have much time to write. I'll just put up a few pics from when my Aunt, Uncle and three cousins were here over the weekend. We had so much fun together! They came down from RI on.... Wensday (day after Christmas). And left Sunday.
