To begin, let's get our hearts in the right place, 'cuz let's face it... some days get to be long and it's not always easy to be in a good mood for our husbands to come home to!  We can't give up though, and the ONLY way to do it, is with the help of the Lord... so let's call on Him! Pray this prayer every day to give you the strength you need to have the right heart for loving your husband... no matter what happens during your day! Dear Heavenly Father,  Please be with me as I seek to please my husband and renew our marriage.  I pray that I would start each morning with a thankful heart for the man that You have given me as a husband, and go to bed each night with a loving heart.  I pray I would give myself unselfishly and completely no matter what kind of day I've had.  Help me to focus on him, by remembering You have designed me to be his helper in life, and what a blessing that truly is.  Help me to be gracious at all times, no matter what kind of mood he's in.  Help me to be loving, remembering the man I fell in love with.  Renew our marriage, our friendship, and our love as I seek to be the woman of God and wife that You desire me to be. In Jesus' name, Amen.

that is agreat commmentary. i found myself falling in my relationship and seeing God's way for me. the sad thing is it was lost as my husband soon left me for a firend of ours. the sadness comes from not being able to make up for past errors to him.

I sat down at my computer today after finally willing myself to get out of bed. (I have rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia, which has caused me to be disabled) I decided to search for "S.H.M.I.L.Y." because as for many of you, it is special to my husband and I too- for the past 10 years. Things have been REALLY difficult lately though because of my disability. I am no longer able to work as a nurse and my husband is working his rear end off and is a little bitter and angry with the whole situation (not necessarily towards me). It has been hard on all of us- including my two boys, ages 12 and 8. We all do the best we can, but it has been a very difficult transition over this past year- I was diagnosed in December 2008. Anyway- I often forget to put S.H.M.I.L.Y.s out for my husband especially during really difficult times when we need the reminder the most. I left him one yesterday on Facebook (NOT my most creative) and he replied back with a S.H.M.I.L.Y. in return. Finding this prayer today has given me a little hope and is definitely a "God thing" for me. I appreciate it so much and will pray this prayer fervently and we work through this transition. Thanks so much!
