I originally found this site over a year ago. We love finding ways to leave new "SHMILY" notes. Hubby said he left me one on our entryway table one morning. He left for work and I eagerly went to go find it. It was NOT there. I thought one of the kids may have gotten it, but NO. I called him at work and he said to look again. I did but still nothing! I looked under and still nothing. When he got home he asked if I found it. I said no. He said well... it is still there! Of course I still found nothing. This went on for over a month. I had forgotten all about it and was dusting the table one day about 2 months later. And DUH it finally hit me! The only items on the table are Our Wedding Pictures. I cried when I thought how silly I had been not too be able to "see" his SHMILY. Especially since I do all the decor here. Now he waits until that table needs dusting and he writes SHMILY on it. Sometimes I just leave the dust there so I can admire his thoughtfulness! Thank you SO much for the time and effort you put into your blog. Today starts our second year we play the 12 days of Christmas. You are trully a blessing. Jeanne

My husband and I first came across the SHMILY story in a couples devotional I picked up at the goodwill. We are newlyweds and are committed to always showing each other how much we love each other and so We both loved the story so much. My husbands job keeps him away from home for 2 - 4 weeks at a time, and so its all the more important for us to express how much we love each other, and often.
I made several SHMILY cards with personal messages about what I Iove about him (his kindness, his smile, his Godliness, his wonderful hands) and littered them throughout his suitcases, putting some in pants pockets, tucking notes into the top of his shaving cream can and taped to the back of his shampoo bottle. And stuck into his laptop bag. I was so tickled to think about him finding these little notes throughout the month.
After taking him to the airport I returned home and went for the fridge to grab a pepsi, and imagine my surprise when I found a card sticking out of the 12 pack box with S.H.M.I.L.Y. A few days later in need of a chocolate fix I went to my "stash" When I opened the wrapper on a miniature chocolate I saw writing, Sure enough he had unwrapped the chocolate, wrote SHMILY on the inside of the wrapper and wrapped it back up. Two weeks later at work I received the most beautiful bouquet of flowers, and the card simply read SHMILY.
He is so wonderful and I can't wait to find more ways to show him just how much I love him, and am anticipating that creative ways he will show me.

"S.H.M.I.L.Y. Time" (See How Much I Love You) focuses on our priority after God as wives, which is to bring glory to Him through being a wife.
