For those of you wanting to do a little more for your kids on Valentine's Day, their birthday, or just as a surprise, here are some ideas you might enjoy. (NOTE: For those of you who don't "celebrate" Valentine's Day, this is not so much about celebrating the day as much as it is about showing your love for them. Go ahead and get some extra paper plates and stuff, and surprise them another time to show your love! Have a great time!)
S.H.M.I.L.Y. Time:
- Making jello jigglers (of course red) and then cutting out with a heart-shaped cookie cutter. (ALWAYS a big hit in my home!)
- Sandwiches cut out with a heart-shaped cookie cutter.
- Here's a recipe for heart-shaped pizzas too (you could do for lunch or supper)!
- Using valentine paper plates, cups, table cloth, etc. is great too... they love festive no matter what the age! Don't forget the balloons and streamers!
