So it's time to "get real" and get to the heart of our home... we're going to love our husbands in a way that, even though may never have been said, will be appreciated!  Cleaning our homes is a very "real" and practical way of loving our hubbies.  It may even seem ridiculous... but they love coming home to a clean home, and you can show him how much you love him by providing that for him! S.H.M.I.L.Y. Time: Go to A CLEAN HEART Blog and check out The Clean Heart, Clean Home Challenge.  It runs 52 days and can easily be done during the school year, or anytime... you need about an hour a day to get it done.  This isn't something that will get done overnight, but he will notice as things get picked up and organized and in the long run, will be happy!  As you finish cleaning each room/area, leave a notecard saying "SHMILY" somewhere... You certainly will be showing how much you love him by taking care of "his castle"! If you have a digital camera, this would be a great time to use this as well... along with your "SHMILY" note, include the before and after pictures of the room! May the Lord be glorified as we seek new ways to spark our marriage and fuLfill our purpose as wives! Lovingly, Amy

This post came at a wonderful time for me, as I have committed myself to working on each room -- cleaning, organizing and purging -- until my entire house is a place where I am proud to be. Right now I am embarrassed whenever someone comes over - I say, "excuse the mess, I am folding laundry" or "excuse the mess, we were just getting to it". It is ridiculous! I want my home to a place where my hubby, my kids and I can relax. As it is right now, we can't. I would like us to be able to have surprise company feel good about it. Thanks for the reminder. And I love the "SHMILY" idea! I will be doing that, too!! Blessings! ~Beckie
