Make SURE that the next time you'd like to suprise your husband, you'll be able to financially. Here's an idea to help you out! (There's only six more months until the "Day of Love", not to mention even less time until... the Twelve Days of Christmas)!
S.H.M.I.L.Y. Time:
- Find a shoe box or something similar in size and begin saving your pennies! You can decorate it however you want, but make sure that it reads, "S.H.M.I.L.Y. Box" on the outside. This is where all your spare change (and maybe even budgeted money) will go for your Drawer of Many Blessings, as well as anything you need for special evenings (candles, etc).
- Find a card telling your husband how wonderful he is, or write a note. Let him know about the "S.H.M.I.L.Y. Box" so he can be adding his spare change as well. One thing you might decide is to write all your checks out for an even amount, not only to help you in balancing the checkbook, but also to make change for your box!
