I got this in my email from a dear friend and had to share it... just wanted to make sure everyone was on the same page here... so.............. is it time for your Drawer of Many Blessings to be updated?

Print this picture out and put in an envelope with a "2006" pair of "blessings" in it. You could also email this image to your husband if he has an email address.
Be sure to include (with either the email, or in the envelope) a note that reads something to the effect of, "How 'bout a little global warming tonight?" or an invitation to a "Global Warming Party" in your bedroom! Have fun with it!
Amy, I have been meaning to share this with you for awhile! While I was in the states in the spring (while you were having your baby) I had an amazing shopping trip! I had read about the drawer of many blessings and thought it would be great, but I REALLY couldn't afford the sorts of things I wanted to put in there. So I prayed about it and then left it with the Lord. One day I was out shopping with my Mom and was looking for something. I left her in the car with A who was asleep and just ran in quickly to a discount shop. What I found was a whole large rack of BEAUTIFUL nighties and skimpy/naughty outfits all priced at $1 per item!!!!!!! I searched through the rack and found ten items for $10!!! Then I got to the till and found that they only took cash or check and I didn't have enough (and they wouldn't take an English check - go figure!!) There was no cash machine around and I didn't want to loose these gorgeous things I had found , so I asked the girl to hold them at the till and went out to the car and asked my Mother to go and please write a check for my purchase and I would pay her back!!!! My Mom was quite amused at my purchases to say the least! She never imagined her little girl wearing things like that!!!! But she said she was thrilled that my marriage was still so alive after 12 years and two kids! DH was mortified at first when he found out she had seen them, but when I pointed out that if she hadn't I wouldn't have been able to get them at all, he decided that it was worth a little embarrasment! Some of the items had origanal tags on from expensive stores like 'Fredricks of Hollywood' and some of the origanal prices were $35 per item!! God not only filled my 'drawer of many blessings' He even did it with brand new designer things at garage sale prices!! Just wanted to share this with you - thanks for all you are doing to encourage us all!
And I just love to leave him wishing for home while he is at work! It's so fun to tease him at work, it lightens his mood and brings him home with a ready smile. And he sure gets those kids to bed in hurry! This will be just the right thing (at the right price too!)
deedeeuk, I loved the story about the nighties....If that had happened to us I think dh would have slept on the couch for a week! LOL
Oh my goodness! I LOVE this story!! Thanks so much for sharing it with us! It really does prove that the Lord wants good things for us (and our husbands as well!)
"S.H.M.I.L.Y. Time" (See How Much I Love You) focuses on our priority after God as wives, which is to bring glory to Him through being a wife. It doesn't matter what stage (or state) your marriage is in right now. Pray to the Lord to give you the strength, forgiveness, and love you need to be the wife He intends for you to be.
