Today was pajama day at our house! All participated except for James
who had to go to work and myself who couldn't stand being in PJs all
day. I really had to cope with the youngins being in their's all day.It
just felt weird. So now the children want to do this thing once a
month. We'll see.... I guess they thought it was cool doing school work
in their bed clothes. It about drove me batty but then again it doesn't
take much for me to have that to happen. So here they are.
School has gone fairly well the past few days. I actually got in a
science lesson on top of the 3 Rs. We talked about eclipses. I think
the school age children grasped everything alright. Samuel really
impressed me with what he got out of the lesson.
We are right on schedule with where we wanted to be for this time of year.
Oh I just CAN'T WAIT for us to put in our book order to Vision
Forum. We are going to order some G.A. Henty books. This will help us
along with our history knowledge. We are also getting some Lamp Lighter
books as well. I have heard of so many good things about both series. I
like the older books that aren't so main stream in today's world. You
know, those buried treasures that have been redisovered.
I think tomorrow I will brave going out to get some groceries.
Hopefully we can get out and in before the big crowds get into the
stores. I have been trying to be creative with what we have on hand but
it's been chicken, chicken, chicken.
I am ready for some beef. Ooh-- maybe we can do something quick on the
grill tomorrow evening. I am a little burned out on cooking and would
like a break from the stove. Maybe we can do some simple hot dogs,
burgers and chips.
I've been enjoying your blog very much. I love the Lamp Lighter books but have ordered any yet. I'm always looking at the catolog and highlighting what I want. Thanks for the bloggin'.

Hi Susan and kiddos! I'm so glad to see that you are enjoying homeschooling and special days like P.J. Day.....I had a P.J. Day yesterday :0)
This blog is a great idea Susan! You should post your url to the blog on the homeschool yahoo group site. I think more folks would like to "see" you and your family.
Hi,
Your children look so sweet in the pyjamas. My two youngest would stay in theirs all day if they had the choice. Maybe one day I'll let them, lol!
Hope you manage to get to the store to get your beef, we have also had lots of chicken lately or pizza, but last night had a steak pie and it was so nice for a change.
I am the wife to one, James, and the mother of six here on earth and one in the presence of the Lord, with another due Sept./08'. We are in our tenth year of homeschooling. We are conservative Christians striving to walk closer to Him daily.
What a precious pictures...your children are beautiful.
I enjoy your blog...take care and blessings...
