Yum!

P1010647

This is the lovely quiche I made last night. Doesn't it look yummy?
It was!
My hubby does not care for quiche because apparently 'real men don't eat quiche', but he was not with us for dinner last night so I took advantage of the opportunity to make it.
I found the recipe on this lovely site:  Coffee Tea Books and Recipes
The recipe did not say what to do with the cheese, but I put 2 + 2 together and figured I'd sprinkle it over my meat and broccoli.  For meat I fried up chunks of turkey sausage.  The store did not have the exact brand I wanted, but it was still good.  Next time I plan to add other ingredients like onion or a different type of cheese.  What I really like about this quiche was that it was a bit souffle-ish.  The batter is poured over it so it puffs up when baked.
My kids all liked it too.  When will hubby be away again?!.....hmmm

Thanks for the thoughtful comment on my recent post. I'm actually doing very well physically. This has been another learning experience for me.......and boy, do I have baby fever in the worst way!!!!!

The quiche you made looks fantastic. I have a recipe that is called oven omelet and it is made with pouring salsa at the bottom of a pie plate and making an egg/cheese mixture over the top and baking it......it is SO yummy! I think I'll make that tomorrow! The chilly rainy weather we are having here in WA is making me think of fall and fall cooking!!

Talk to you soon, okay??
