Artwork

I love the artwork of children!
It is so free and expressive.
I sometimes wish I could be more like that!

Today I'm sharing some the recent masterpieces created around here.

The above drawing is by Skylark, he's almost 4yrs.
I love this one because the 'body/head' with long skinny legs on the left, is me(ha ha!) and the other 'being' in my 'body/head' is(not my nose, but) the "baby in my tummy".
Children are so precious!

Chickadee drew this one(above).  She received a sketchbook for Christmas and has been busy filling it.  All those blank pages!!
She drew the grapes looking at a picture in a book and the banana was drawn "from her head".

And my other two sons asked to do this History project.
They drew their own coat of arms.
Apparently the dragon(top one) is not finished...oops.

Thanks for stopping by here today!

Such wonderful pictures! Yes, I too love children's drawings. Thanks for sharing them.

I read down on one of your other postings and just wanted to say that I also absolutely love the book "For the Children's Sake". It was monumental in helping me see how I wanted to teach my children.

Your blog is looking great!

Blessings, Melissa

Great artwork! :o)

You asked about our co-op...

Ours was started by one lady who had been part of a very organized group prior. She (along with two board members) has put together a very well-run co-op. It has paid teachers, several class opportunities for PK-High School, a mom's room for weekly teaching and encouragement, and lots of extras like a yearbook, the expo, a field day and lots more.

I couldn't possibly tell you how to begin organizing everything that our co-op offers. But, your group of moms could get together and decide what's important to you - classes? special fun days? competitions? Depending on what's most important, you might start small the first year and continue adding the extras as you feel more comfortable with the running of a group.

I will tell you that our leaders spend many hours each week preparing and such to make our co-op run as smoothly as it does. It's a ministry for sure!

Hope this helps! :)
