Today's Daybook

Outside My Window...cool, gray and raining...it may not feel like June, but I'm not complaining, it's better than scorching heat, especially when you're pregnant and I find it easier to putter around the house getting things done.
I am thinking...of all things I heard from speakers at the conference over the weekend. One thing that came to me was that I need to be more sensitive to God's leading in what curriculum I choose for my kids. He knows my children and what they need.
I am thankful for...being a mom. Sometimes the challenge of raising children can be very overwhelming, but I'm still very thankful for the opportunity!
From the kitchen...because of the weather, I feel like baking, it makes the house smell good! Hmmm...what to make?
I am wearing...maternity jeans, a red maternity T-shirt, slippers
I am creating...organization out of chaos...the quest continues, I have almost finished the de-cluttering project I started last week!
I am going...not very many places this week, just a couple of errands, but other than that I'll be a homebody.
I am reading...through all of the catalogues and brochures that I got at the conference. I also have a whole list of books to read that I'll share later.
I am hoping...to get next year's curriculum organized this Summer, so I don't have to worry about it before the baby comes.
I am hearing...my kids playing upstairs, they're building tents out of blankets and chairs, I love creative play!
Around the house...the dishwasher needs to be unloaded and laundry needs to be put away,
One of my favorite things...browsing a curriculum hall! All of those books just get me excited!
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: to continue projects around the house, finish up school for the year, go to Michael's to buy things for dd's birthday party this weekend, make her a butterfly birthday cake!
Here is picture thought I am sharing...
Canadagirl graciously shared her beads with my dd and this is the necklace she showed her how to make.
I think we may have found a new hobby!
