Learning at Our House

For this week's Show and Tell, I thought I'd share what we've been doing in our homeschool lately.  Here is what learning at our house has looked like:

son's lapbook on spiders

pop-up Towers of London that my sons made, a project from Story of the World Vol.2

flags for The War of the Roses that dd made,

and we've just started a unit study on Africa,
this is dd's title page,

And although we have a lovely little corner decked out for 'school',

...learning takes place anywhere:

language arts in the living room,

math on the hearth,

Awesome projects! We use to have a school room. Now our house is too small for one and the kids find all kinds of places to do their work.

I just LOVE your home-decorating ideas. "Early Homeschool" that is so popular now days. LOL
I used to have the alphabet animal cards as my upper border around the rec room. And right now? Alphabet animal cards are my "wallpaper" under the rec room windows.

Your school studies are GORGEOUS!

Your school corner is so neat and tidy! Our school work is done in every part of the house, too. I think I may steal some of the project ideas you showed.

What a treat to see your NEW learning room ! I love it and I know it is also close to your BIG dinning room table and kitchen ! What a perfect place !! Now I have to ask you.... what are you using for your lapbooks. Did you make it up on your own or did you buy something to help you ? I haven't really got going on lapbooks yet. ((sigh)) Yes, learning is EVERYWHERE. [0=

Sending you HUGE ((HUGS)) my SSiC

lap books

I Love your photos! We just discovered lap books on these blogs, and so I decided to start one this week too:)) Since we are not done it yet, I will wait to post a photo, but I am thrilled to have found a way to gather all the info.! And I just love seeing what other children create too! I am a retired scrapbooker -so maybe I can replace that with lap booking with my kids?!!
