Building Blocks Cake

I have been busy this week planning a 'park day' and a 'book sale'(wich was today) and I didn't think I had anything to use for Show & Tell.  Then I just remembered that I do have something to share, so this is my better-late-than-never Show & Tell post.

Last weekend we celebrated my son's 5th birthday and I made a Building Blocks Cake  I got the idea from A Pondering Heart (Thanks!)

My son loved it!

I don't normally let my kids eat that much food dye, but this was a special occasion.  The little round tops are made from marshmallows!

For more Show & Tell visit Canadagirl.

PS. The turn out at the book sale wasn't that great.  I only made $35, but I was able to connect with some other homeschoolers who I'd never met that live in my area!

That's really cool! I love your cake!

I'm glad that you got to connect to other homeschool families and moms - that helps compensate what you didn't make in $.

A Lego birthday cake! I will have to send this link to my DD, who has 3 Lego-crazy boys.

I'm glad you did your better-late-than-never S&T. :-)

p.s. So . . . what books were you selling? Ones you wrote or used curriculum or . . . ?

I seem to be following suit ..."better late than never". I have been sooooooooo busy it isn't even funny. But here I am ! I absolutly LOVE love love this cake idea. My two youngest LOVE lego and I just asked my soon to be 9yo if he wanted a lego cake. [0= Yup that was a winner of a idea ! I love how simple but soooooo much fun these cakes are. [0= I can't wait to make it the first week of Sept.

Sending you HUGE ((HUGS))

Great idea! I made a large Lego brick cake once, but the small ones put it in context better.

And glad you made a bit of money and had fun connecting. That's sort of what I did at my yard sale. Didn't make too much, but enjoyed visiting with my neighbors.

Blessings to you,
Renae
