S is for 'Stuck'...

This patch of snow on our deck seemd to last forever(it has now melted) and provided the perfect place for this monster truck to get stuck!

"Z"

Z is for Zebra...

Photobucket

...(that's 'z' pronounced 'zed', because I'm Canadian!)
Well, since I'm skipping around, isn't 'z' always for zebra(just like 'a' is always for apple)?
I couldn't pass up this opportunity from our recent trip to the zoo, to capture such distinctive markings.
Did you also know that a zebra's stripes help protect them from their #1 predator...lions?
A testament to a divine, creative God!

No, these did not come from my garden, but from a greenhouse.  They're not in bloom around here yet, but they do make me long for Spring.

These teddies belong to my Wee One, but he's too little to snuggle them.  In the meantime, I'll enjoy them on the dresser.

OK, so I am now officially skipping around the alphabet.  So much for doing it in order, it's harder than I thought!

"F"

F is for Frosty Fence.

Photobucket

We've had some beautiful frosty mornings lately and one morning I went crazy with the camera.  I plan to post the rest of my pictures at a later date, but for this meme I chose this one.  The little junco actually landed on the fence just as I took the picture, so it was by chance that I caught him!
I was going to stick to the order of the alphabet, but I was having a hard time with 'D' and I really wanted to share this one first.

Hubby's favourite footwear are his Chucks.  The last time he bought himself a pair, he brought home these for Wee One.
I love baby feet and the little shoes that fit them!

A New Meme

I'm joining a new meme hosted by The Homeschool Post.
It's a photo meme that follows the letters of the alphabet.
Now, I'm a 'photographer-wanna-be'.  It's a hobby that I've always wanted to get into and maybe I still will, when my kids are grown.
But for now, I have my Olympus digital camera, that I've had for 3 years and I'm only just beginning to discover it's full potential.  And I also have a new camcorder(a Christmas gift from my in-laws) that I discovered takes great stills.
I may only post once a week.  If I make it through the alphabet in a year, I'll be happy.  I love using the macro setting, so this should be fun!
Click on the graphic to see what it's all about and the rules are posted below.

Photobucket

1. Post a photo for each letter of the alphabet of anything that starts with that letter.

2. Write a few short explanatory, quirky, or witty sentences about each photo you post.

3. Only post one photo at a time (the meme can take as long as you want - a month, three months, whatever… you aren’t being graded). You can link them later in a blog post so they are listed in order if you are the list-making type.

4. If you want to join the meme, sign the Mr. Linky and use the “A B See Photo-Meme” graphic in your sidebar. Link your graphic to this post and announce that you will be joining us.

5. When you post a photo, come by and add it to the weekly A B See linky that we’ll be posting on Foto Fridays for those who have some alphabetical photo to share. You can sign it each week as many times as you have posted photos - one time for each photo linked post. Make sure you link back to the HSBA on your posts, too - so others can come and join the linky.
