Progress

Slow and steady wins the race, right?

The past couple days I've been preparing to lay the vinyl in our bathroom.  I've never done this before.  I've always just used sticky tiles...which was pretty easy.  This was scary!  If you make one wrong cut, you've ruined the whole piece of $100 vinyl!  I first made a pattern out of brown paper and taped it all together on the bathroom floor, then I layed it on top of the vinyl and attempted to tape it down but it wouldn't stick to the vinyl for some reason.  So then I decided to just go for it and hope that it was right.  It was actually a tiny bit off, but it was only long in some areas, not short, so that was easily maneageable.  I spent tonight making it right...and cleaning the floor.  I was about to glue it down when I realized that you're supposed to let the glue sit for an hour or more before you put the vinyl in.  So I decided to leave and go back in the morning to apply the glue...and then return or find something else to do before I go and stick that vinyl down.  Talk about changing the look of the bathroom!  Makes it look CLEAN!  Clean is very important in this house.  LOL  We've been a bit grossed out by lots of the ick!

I won't get to work there tomorrow night because we have 2 baseball games to watch.  I really have been taking it much easier than I should.  My dh is sick with a cold.  I'm praying he'll recover soon so that we can keep moving forward.  Still no sign of our house closing, so I guess we're doing OK so far.

When we started fixin' up our house out in the country, I was sooooo excited!
I wanted to do this and that... that excitment turned into exhaustion!
And it seemed that every time we got one job done another one revealed it's ugly head!
But we just kept working and with every task you complete you get one step closer to your goal...
You have already completed sooo many things! You'll get it done. Wish I was there to help out!
Blessings, Tosha
