I went to get the mail today and I found a wonderful gift waiting for me.  I left a comment on Lorrie's Blog a couple of weeks back and won a contest she was having.  Anyways, I was hoping for a book on whole foods but, what I got was so much more.  I can't wait to read through it.  The book is called God's Healing Herbs by Dennis Ellingson.  This is what the back of the book says:

Sounds great huh?  I am so grateful for this book because this winter I have been looking into using herbs for healing after my daughter came down with a sickness that wouldn't go away.  My good friend Andrea,  gave me some advice on herbal remedies and they worked!  I was seeing results almost immediately.

I also love that this book is a devotional as well.  And with spring coming up who could ask for more.  This book would make a wonderful gift for any woman who enjoys herbs or gardening.  It teaches you all about the herb and it tells you how to grow it.  It also tells what it's uses are and gives a beautiful illustration.  I had not idea how many of these plants are growing wild in my yard each year.  I am looking forward to learning more about the use of herbs and I am happy to say that this book will be a favorite of mine for a long time.
